Carowinds' swim-up bar opens this weekend
Carowinds is opening its highly anticipated, adults-only swim-up bar this Saturday as Carolina Harbor Waterpark reopens for the summer. Why it matters: Paul Metto's Boathouse Bar is Charlotte's first swim-up bar and offers a 21+ retreat within the 400-acre amusement park. The 27,280 square-foot area features: A 3,577-square-foot pool. 58 shaded chaise lounge chairs. Six luxury cabanas with a TV, mini fridge and dedicated concierge service. A lawn area with poolside games. Between the lines: Carowinds expects the new adults-only zone will diversify its offerings and increase the value of its season pass. The latest investments in the waterpark come after Ohio-based Cedar Fair and Texas-based Six Flags merged and relocated the combined company to Charlotte. If you go: Admission to Carolina Harbor Waterpark is included with general park entry. Carowinds has its 2025 Silver Season Pass on sale through May 26 for $99. The park says the pass pays for itself in under two visits and includes unlimited visits and free parking through Labor Day.
