Exclusive renderings: Carowinds will open 21 and up waterpark area with swim-up bar
Carowinds will open an adults-only section of its waterpark with a swim-up bar this summer.
Why it matters: Carolina Shore Club will be an exclusive section for visitors 21 and older and home to Charlotte's first full-service swim-up bar, called Paul Metto's Dockside Bar.
The 27,280-square-foot area includes:
A 3,577-square-foot pool.
58 shaded chaise lounge chairs.
Six luxury cabanas with a TV, mini-fridge and dedicated service — two of which are "premium."
A lawn area with games like cornhole and giant Jenga.
What's next: Carowinds opens for its 52nd season on March 15.
Later this spring, the park will unveil two new kid-friendly attractions at Camp Snoopy.
The Snoopy's Racing Railway is a coaster that reaches a speed of 31 miles per hour.
Charlie Brown's River Raft Blast is a boat ride equipped with water cannons.

Fun fact: Carowinds has kept the development under wraps with the code name "Project Daiquiri" while planning.
