Fire Safety Conscious' Yellow Labrador Kills Mom's Candle Vibe and It's Such a Mood
There's nothing quite like preparing a delicious snack, lighting a scented candle, and getting cozy after a long day. Whether you're winding-down routine includes reading, a bath, or a cuddle with a dog, there are so many enjoyable and effective ways to reduce stress and increase relaxation.
When you have a dog around, though, relaxing isn't always so simple! Between keeping dogs occupied, avoiding bursts of energy, and making sure all their needs are met, there's a lot to consider. Still, no dog owner would guess that their pup has a vendetta against candles, but for Yellow Lab Lulu and her mom Naomi, this is a very real problem.
As the duo showed in a priceless April 23 TikTok video, Naomi loves to light candles, and Lulu loves to snuff them out. She has no idea why her pup likes to disrupt the vibes and mood lighting, but at least it's amusing to watch!
OMG, how did she learn to do this? Labrador Retrievers can be very smart dogs sometimes, and this is a perfect example of how their brains will manifest. Still, it must have taken lots of practice and bravery, or a happy accident, for a dog to learn how to blow out a candle.
Commenter Sammy guessed that "She was a firefighter in a past life," and that certainly could be the case! Someone else's theory was that she was trying to make a wish like people do on their birthdays, while another person joked, "That's what happens when you let them watch too much Paw Patrol."Whether Lulu is trying to be safety-conscious or just having fun with the smoke and scents from the candle, there's no denying how cute and silly she is. No wonder Naomi is so entertained! Even if she can't have a candle burning for long, her dog's silliness and love can be just as relaxing and joy-inducing.
There's no doubt that this wholesome Labrador Retriever takes her job very seriously, but how did she learn to do this?
"I think she either doesn't like the smell of the candle or does like the smell when it is blown out," Naomi replied to a commenter. "All I know is candles are done for on Lulu's watch."
Even if she'd make an excellent firehouse dog, Lulu seems to have found her calling keeping her Mom and home safe from flames. Good girl!
