Otto's eyeballs were gouged from their sockets by thugs because he was barking in a garden but he is now settling into his new life in Scotland.
A puppy who had his eyes cut out in a brutal attack in Romania has found his forever home in Scotland.
Otto's eyeballs were gouged from their sockets by thugs because he was barking in a garden.
The blind puppy was rescued by charity Paw Prints to Freedom in March, who posted a Facebook plea for a new home.
Michelle McKee and her daughter Hannah, eight, fell in love with Otto and applied to adopt him.
Otto, thought to be aged around one, travelled from Romania by truck in May to his new family home in Uddingston, Lanarkshire.
Michelle, 39, said: 'We read of the terrible trauma he had been through. He had been living in a garden and been barking quite a bit. Neighbours cut his eyes out and left him for dead. He would have been terrified and in such pain.
'When we saw his photo, we fell in love. I contacted the charity straight away and said, 'we need him'. It cost £440 in total.

'The day he arrived, I sat on the floor and he was so happy he jumped all over me. He has not left my side since.
'It makes me sad he will never see the faces of his family. But he knows he is loved.'
Michelle added: 'People burst out crying when they hear his story. He has the loveliest wee face, you can't imagine how anyone could be so cruel.
'Maybe Otto's story will encourage others to consider giving dogs like him a second chance.
'We are raising money for the charity. Otto is on TikTok and has a Facebook page.'
Paw Prints to Freedom said: 'We are very grateful to Michelle and her family for giving Otto the most amazing home, we're so pleased to hear he is thriving. We are always grateful for any support we receive.'
Rescuers Tony & Mari who found Otto in Romania said: "When we picked up Otto, he was in serious condition. His eyes had clearly been damaged deliberately, but he was still so friendly.
"We are so happy he is in the UK where he is loved.
"Despite all his experience, he is an amazing, trusting, and friendly boy. He touched our hearts."
