FSJ Motocross Club suffers theft of water truck

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — A local motocross club's water truck was reportedly stolen this winter. FSJ Motocross Club posted on a Fort St. John Facebook group on May 15th looking to the public for potential leads on where it could be. Representatives from the club said they had 'saved for years' to be able to purchase the truck. 'Two weeks before we're supposed to put on a race and it appears that our track water truck has been stolen,' read the post. 'If anyone has any leads on where it might be, please let us know.' A statement from the club said it was unsure 'of the actual date' the theft occurred because the track off 90th Street is not 'monitored much' during the winter months. The club told a water truck used on the motocross track has safety benefits for the competitors. 'When the track gets too dry, it causes too much dust to the point riders can't see,' read the statement. 'The moisture helps make the track a fun and safe place to ride.' With a Peace Motocross Association-sanctioned event coming up on May 24th, FSJ Motocross Club may have to rely on a sponsor to provide assistance to get water on the track. In a statement, Fort St. John RCMP Constable Chad Neustaeter said the investigation remains ongoing, and although the theft was reported on May 15th, it took place 'sometime before May 3rd, 2025.' The truck is described as a brown Kenworth vehicle with the Summer Bros. logo on the side. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the missing truck is asked to contact Fort St. John RCMP at 250-787-8100. More information about FSJ Motocross Club is available on the club's Facebook page and website .
