Twisted Metal showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith recently opened up about his long-term vision for the Peacock series. In a new interview, he explained how the storyline is already mapped out through multiple seasons. His plans hint at major developments that could reshape the show's future. Michael Jonathan Smith teases Twisted Metal Season 3 and 4 ideas Speaking to The Direct, Michael Jonathan Smith said, 'It is extremely clear where Season 3 goes,' and noted that he has 'a lot of plans' for upcoming stories. When asked how many seasons he envisioned, Smith explained, 'I'm not one of those people who's going to be like, I have a very strict six-season plan. I want to go for as long as the fans watch.' He emphasized that he and the team 'have a lot of great plans for these characters.' Smith also teased his ambitions for future seasons, revealing, 'I have an amazing idea for Season 4 that I think fans will lose their goddamn minds when you hear it.' Peacock has not yet renewed Twisted Metal for Season 3. Still, Smith remains confident in the show's direction and ongoing storyline. Season 2 brings the tournament storyline from the original video games to the screen. The show delivers intense car combat action in full force. Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, and Samoa Joe reprise their roles. New cast members Michael James Shaw, Lisa Gilroy, and Richard de Klerk join the ensemble. Smith confirmed the use of supernatural elements this season, saying, 'I wanted to lean into those elements… there's something kind of eerie about a post-apocalyptic world where there's something more to it.' As the storyline expands, Smith highlighted the show's deep roster of existing characters. He also emphasized the creative freedom to introduce new personalities like Mayhem and Quiet. He added, 'I think we have a lot of fun plans for the fans.' Twisted Metal Season 2 is now streaming on Peacock. Originally reported by Anubhav Chaudhry on SuperHeroHype.
