Salman Khan To Collaborate With Mahesh Narayanan For Action Thriller? Know Here

Last Updated: A few days backs it was reported that Salman Khan has finalised his next project after Sikandar. Salman Khan, who was last seen in Sikandar, has not announced his next project till now. Several reports are coming in about his upcoming films but nothing has been announced till now. Recently, Peeping Moon has reported that Malayalam filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan is in early talks with Salman Khan for his next. Peepingmoon report says, 'It is Salman Khan's most commercially oriented script to date. He hasn't given his nod yet, but should the project move forward, the makers plan to take it on floors towards the end of this year or early next year, after the actor wraps up filming Apoorva's Galwan-based war drama." This will be director's first Hindi cinema and is reportedly being put together by his sister, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, and her husband, Atul Agnihotri A few days backs it was reported that Salman Khan has finalised his next project after Sikandar. After recurring meetings with directors like Ali Abbas Zafar, Kabir Khan, and Raaj Shandilyaa, among others, Salman has reportedly agreed to star in Apoorva Lakhia's upcoming film. As per reports, the film will be an army-based action thriller. As per Pinkvilla, Salman Khan and Apoorva Lakhia's next film is based on the novel India's Most Fearless 3. It will be set against the backdrop of the 2020 Galwan Valley Conflict. 'Apoorva Lakhia and Salman Khan are all set to start shooting for the film from July 2025. The film will be shot in Ladakh and Mumbai, over a period of 70 days starting in July… 'It's a 2-night story, and hence, the logistics of a 70-day shoot seems to be a reality… It features Salman Khan as an army officer in a full-fledged film for the first time in his career, and he will be joined by three other actors from the younger generation," revealed a source to the portal. Meanwhile, it is likely that after this film, Salman Khan will work with Kabir Khan again. However, this won't be for Banjrangi Bhaijaan 2. 'Kabir Khan is against sequels, and doesn't want to touch a classic like Bajrangi Bhaijaan. While he heard the idea cracked by Vijayendra Prasad, he isn't too keen on making Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. He has pitched an original larger-than-life drama to Salman, and the actor is considering that as a follow-up to Apoorva Lakhia, but nothing is confirmed at the moment. The idea at the moment is to shoot for Apoorva Lakhia from July to October, followed by Kabir Khan from November," the source shared. First Published: May 30, 2025, 15:01 IST

Govinda's Son Yashvardhan Ahuja's Debut Delayed As Babil Khan Quits Baby Remake?

Last Updated: Govinda's son Yashvardhan Ahuja was set to debut in the Hindi remake of Telugu film Baby, directed by Sai Rajesh. The project stalled after Babil Khan exited. Yashvardhan Ahuja, son of legendary actor Govinda, was gearing up to kick off his Bollywood journey with the Hindi adaptation of the Telugu hit Baby. The film, to be helmed by original director Sai Rajesh, had also roped in late Irrfan Khan's son Babil Khan for a key role. But things soon took a messy turn. Reports suggest Babil walked out of the project after a clash with Rajesh, who publicly criticised the young actor's emotional outburst on social media. He allegedly insisted on a public apology. Now, with Babil's exit, Yashvardhan's much-awaited Bollywood debut stands uncertain. As per a report by Peeping Moon, the Hindi remake of Baby has been put on pause as the producers actively scouting for a new actor to step into the role originally meant for Babil Khan. 'The makers spent nearly six months finalising the female lead, a debutante, and now face the daunting task of recasting the male lead. It's going to take a lot of time. As of now, the production is on hold, with no confirmed timeline for resuming," shared the source. The Hindi remake of Baby is set to be produced by Madhu Mantena in collaboration with Allu Aravind's Geetha Arts and the original Telugu film's producer, Sreenivasa Kumar Naidu. Babil Khan was reportedly chosen to play the role originally essayed by Anand Deverakonda, while Yashvardhan Ahuja was lined up to portray the character played by Viraj Ashwin in the Telugu version. The makers have yet to officially confirm the film's cast and release date. Last month, Babil Khan took to his Instagram account and announced that he is opting out of Sai Rajesh's film. 'With a lot of grit, passion, and mutual respect, Sai Rajesh sir and I both got along on this journey of creating magic together. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances things didn't go ahead as everyone had planned. Since I will be taking some time off currently, I wish the best to Sai Rajesh sir and the film team on their future journey. I know there is immense love between us, and we will meet soon in the future and create magic," he wrote. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Babil (@babil.i.k) Meanwhile, Sai Rajesh shared a note on Instagram that read, 'Babil is one of the most talented and hardworking actors I have met in my life. However I have to accept this unfortunate reality of the situation. After spending time with Babil while prepping, I was very happy to be working with such a talented actor… I will still always cherish the experience of seeing him perform in front of me… I will miss my Hero! I respect his decision of self care first, and wish him all the best and send him all the love in the future! I know we both will create that magic together for sure." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sai Rajesh (@sairazesh) For those who've come in late, a video of Babil Khan having an emotional breakdown went viral on social media recently, where he mentioned actors like Ananya Panday, Adarsh Gourav, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and others. Shortly after, Babil's team posted a clarification, saying he was genuinely appreciating these actors' contributions to Bollywood. However, director Sai Rajesh expressed his disappointment, criticising Babil's team for highlighting only a select few and questioning if the others who supported him all along were being ignored. Babil reacted to his post, and wrote that he gave 2 years of his life to Rajesh and underwent 'complete physical atrocity' so he could do justice to his character. Babil wrote, 'You really broke my heart. After everything I've given to you. 2 years of my life, complete physical atrocity to my body just so I can do justice to his character, I gave him my soul, rejected everything that came in my way for 2 years, anything and everything he needed, for 500 days of my life." He further added, 'not to mention the pain and the suffering I put in my soul, lived in filth just to make sure sir @sairazesh is happy with the character. It's okay now..I'll let my work speak. Goodbye. Man I had bugs in my beard because he needed that in the character. I gave him my laughter while I held back my tears. I slit my fu**ing wrist for him." The comments, as well as Sai Rajesh's post have now been deleted. First Published:

After Babil Khan's exit from Baby remake, film marking debut of Govinda's son Yashvardhan Ahuja's on hold: Report

Babil Khan last week confirmed his exit from filmmaker Sai Rajesh's film days after their heated argument following the actor's emotional social media posts. Now, as per a Peeping Moon report, the project, which marked the Bollywood debut of Govinda's son Yashvardhan Ahuja, is on hold. (Also Read | Babil Khan confirms exit from Sai Rajesh film after criticism over social media post) Babil Khan was reportedly cast to play the lead role in the film. With Babil quitting the film, the producers will have to find his replacement. The production reportedly has been "indefinitely postponed". Citing a source, the report said, 'The makers spent nearly six months finalising the female lead, a debutante, and now face the daunting task of recasting the male lead. It's going to take a lot of time. As of now, the production is on hold, with no confirmed timeline for resuming.' The Hindi remake of the 2023 Telugu romantic drama Baby was reportedly scheduled to start filming from May 5. Sai Rajesh had also directed the Telugu film. Produced by Madhu Mantena, Allu Aravind's Geetha Arts and Sreenivasa Kumar Naidu, Babil was cast to star in the role played by Anand Deverakonda in the originl, while Yashvardhan was chosen to play Viraj Ashwin's character. It all started when Babil posted videos on his Instagram Stories, lashing out at Bollywood celebrities and name-dropping several actors. Later, he deactivated his account only to return, saying that the videos were "extremely misinterpreted", claiming he was praising the actors and not criticising them. Following this, Sai shared a lengthy note on his Instagram Stories slamming Babil. A part of his post read, "...we do deserve an apology for how things have been handled. I genuinely wanted to stand by him even until an hour ago. But if you're taking us for granted, that stops here. These sympathy games won't work on us anymore. A sincere apology is the least you owe us. Say it, and let's move on." Babil slammed Sai in the comment section, only to delete everything. Later in his Instagram post, Babil announced that he exited the film "due to unforeseen circumstances", adding that he will take some time off. A part of his post read, "Since I will be taking some time off currently, I wish the best to Sai Rajesh sir and the film team on their future journey." Sai in his post called Babil "one of the most talented and hardworking actors", adding that they will work together in the future. He added that he respects Babil's "decision of self-care first".

All eyes are on King! The much-anticipated action thriller, starring Shah Rukh Khan, will mark the big-screen debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan. Moreover, the father-daughter duo will be sharing the screen for the first time ever. The film also features a star-studded cast including Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma. Earlier, news broke out that the cast has officially kickstarted the shooting for King in Mumbai's Mehboob Studios. Well, a new report by Peeping Moon now claims that the makers have decided to release the film on Gandhi Jayanti next year. A source told the portal, 'This date aligns perfectly for a grand Bollywood spectacle like King. Falling on a Friday and coinciding with a national holiday, this date positions the film for a strong box office opening." 'Following SRK's record-breaking 2023, there are high expectations that the actor will deliver yet another 500-crore blockbuster, and this holiday release will only accelerate its path to that milestone," the source added. Scheduled for release in 2026, the film stars Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role as a formidable assassin deeply embedded in the criminal underworld. Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma have already been confirmed as part of the cast. Meanwhile, recent reports suggest that Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, and Anil Kapoor have also joined the project in key roles. Suhana will be seen as Shah Rukh's student, taking training for deadly missions. Reportedly, both SRK and Suhana have undergone intense physical training for the film. Meanwhile, Abhay Verma will reportedly play Suhana's boyfriend in the film. 'Some of the action that involves Shah Rukh's body double have been shot already. [The makers have ensured] massive security to avoid leaks from their set [in Bandra]," an insider had said. 'Rani Mukerji has been cast to play the part of Suhana Khan's mother, and it's a role which acts as a catalyst for the entire action-thriller in the film. It was a no-brainer for Rani to say yes to Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand's offer for King. She heard the part, and instantly agreed to on board the film. Rani's track is the heart of King, leading to the emotional depth," a source had told Pinkvilla. Reportedly, Deepika will join the film as Suhana's mother. As per a Pinkvilla report, Deepika will have a 'full-length role, and a lot more than just a cameo" in King. 'Shah Rukh Khan was always clear to have Deepika Padukone on board 'King'. Initially, the dates did not match as Deepika was taking time off to be with the newborn kid," the source said. First Published:
