Forbidden Fruit returns to the heart of Dublin city this June Bank Holiday weekend as Ireland's summer festival season officially gets underway. Now in its 13th edition, Forbidden Fruit will take place this Saturday and Sunday set against the backdrop of Dublin 's Royal Hospital Kilmainham. This year's festival will see see Jamie xx play Forbidden Fruit for the third time - after being part of the first festival in 2011, and also playing the Dublin 8 venue in 2015. His set will be his only Irish headline show of the year. Born Slippy icons Underworld will make a long-awaited return to the capital at this year's festival, while Peggy Gou, another Forbidden Fruit veteran, will be on the main stage for the first time this year. Caribou, Mall Grab, Glass Beams, FCUKERS, BUNT, nimino, and Effy round out the main names announced this afternoon. We have all the info you need ahead of the first festival of the summer, including what time each act are expected on stage, and how you can get your hands on last minute tickets. Tickets There are still a handful of weekend tickets available to this year's festival, although fans will have to act quick as these are expected to sell out ahead of the weekend. Two-Day Weekend tickets for Forbidden Fruit 2025 are priced at €184.50 each and are available to buy via Ticketmaster. There are also a small number of day tickets available. Day Tickets are priced at €107.05 each, and fans hoping to visit the festival on Saturday can grab their ticket here, while those looking to head to Day 2 on Sunday can purchase a ticket here. The public are being urged not to travel to the festival grounds unless they have a valid ticket and ID. Ticketholders are also being urged to add their ticket to their phone's wallet and keep it handy. The last act is scheduled to finish at 10.45pm each night. Festivalgoers are being told not to bring large bags with them and to keep them A4 or smaller. People without bags will be fast-tracked into the arena. Ticketholders are being warned that there's no re-admission. Once you're in for the day, you're in! Day tickets are valid to be scanned once upon arrival for the allocated day you purchased and Weekend tickets are valid to be scanned once upon arrival, each day you attend the festival. Ticketholders are also being advised to take note that the festival is a cashless event, so make sure bring your credit / debit cards and that your phone has plenty of battery. Forbidden Fruit Festival is an over 18s event. Driving licence, passport or garda card are all acceptable forms of identification. Anyone who appears under 18 years old may be asked for ID to enter the festival. The festival operates the Challenge 25 policy at all bars on site. This means that anyone who looks 25 years or under can expect to be asked for ID. How to get Royal Hospital Kilmainham The Royal Hospital Kilmainham is situated between Heuston Railway Station, the iconic Kilmainham Gaol and the world famous Guinness Brewery. It is twelve minutes from the M50 motorway and easy to get to from the airport. By Bus: To Heuston Station (five minutes walk via Military Road): 26 from Wellington Quay; 51, 79 from Aston Quay; 90 Dart Feeder Bus from Connolly and Tara Street stations. To James Street (5 minutes walk via steps to Bow Lane onto Irwin Street and Military Road): 123 from O'Connell Street/Dame Street; 51B, 78A from Aston Quay. By Car : 10 minute drive from city centre. There is no parking at the venue. Traffic Restrictions will be in place on Military Road and Kilmainham Lane. The nearest public car park is Park Rite Parking Lot at 7 Queen Street, Dublin 7. By Foot : Approximately 30 minutes from the city centre. Pedestrian access is via East Gate, Military Road, Dublin 8 By Train : Five minute walk from Heuston Station; from Connolly and Tara Street Stations by 90 bus to Heuston Station. By Luas : Red line to Heuston Station, five minute walk to Museum entrance on Military Road. Prohibited items The following are a list of items not permitted to be brought into the festival grounds: Fireworks, Chinese Lanterns, flares, and high-power torches are not allowed. No bags over a4 size Liquids Alcohol Illicit drugs, legal highs or nitrous oxide are not allowed. Glass (except for small make-up items and perfume/aftershave) Animals (except guide dogs) are not allowed. Anything which could be considered an offensive weapon is not allowed. Gas Cylinders are not permitted. Petrol Generators or Liquefied Petroleum Gas is not allowed. BBQs are not allowed. Laser Pens are not allowed. Professional photographic equipment is not allowed. No folding chairs/ Garden Furniture Weather forecast According to Met Eireann's latest forecast, Saturday will start off mainly dry, but rain will spread eastwards across the country through the morning and early afternoon. The rain will clear during the afternoon with sunshine and showers following for the rest of the day, with highest temperatures of 15C to 19C with moderate to fresh southwest winds, but becoming very windy later near Atlantic coasts, with strong to gale force and gusty southwest winds developing in the evening and continuing for a time on Saturday night along with further showers or longer spells of rain. Sunday is expected to be breezy with a mix of sunshine and showers. It will be cooler with highest temperatures of 13C to 17C and moderate to fresh and gusty westerly winds. Music fans are in for a treat as some of the most exciting international and homegrown artists are gearing up for their gigs – including headliners Caribou, Jamie xx, Peggy Gou, and Underworld. But who else is playing and what else should you know before you get your groove on at Forbidden Fruit this weekend? Keep reading to find out more. Forbidden Fruit is returning this June bank holiday weekend on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin. News in 90 Seconds - May 30th Lineup and stage times While this year's headliners are sure to fill the floor during their sets, there are also plenty of other acts across five stages that are worth checking out across the weekend. Mall Grab, Effy, and Bunt are among the dance acts, but there's also a wide range of Irish talent to see for yourself, including Jazzy, Bricknasty, Spray, Khakikid, and Cliffords. Hitting up the main stage on Saturday are Jamie xx, Caribou, Glass Beams, Bricknasty, and Trinity Orchestra – Trinity College's student-run symphony ensemble. And on Sunday, festivalgoers can catch headliners Underworld and Peggy Gou at the same location after the stage gets warmed up by Fcukers, Khakikid, and Zaska. A new addition this weekend is the Lighthouse x Smirnoff Stage, which features a 360° DJ booth and visually stunning Perfect Sky Canopy. The Lighthouse x Smirnoff Stage will be the first to get the party started too, setting the tone from 2pm on both days before wrapping up at 10pm. The venue can be accessed by Dublin Bus routes, the Luas, and trains arriving at Heuston Station, which is just a five-minute walk away. E-scooters and e-bikes are not permitted at Forbidden Fruit but there are public bike racks available on the Royal Hospital grounds to securely lock them away. Important information Add your ticket to your phone's wallet to keep it handy. Beware of ticket scammers and never purchase tickets from an unofficial source. This is a cashless event, so organisers recommend bringing a card or phone for payments. Don't forget to take valid ID with you. No large bags allowed – only A4 size or smaller (no bags means faster entry). Travel-size sunscreen and hand sanitiser (100ml) are allowed. The event takes place around 15 minutes from Dublin City Centre. By foot: Pedestrians can access the grounds via East Gate, Military Road, Dublin 8 and West Gate on James Street. By car: There is no parking at the venue. Traffic Restrictions will be in place on Military Road and Kilmainham Lane. To drive near to the venue: From the West: Off N4 towards Heuston Station. From the North: Off M1 towards Heuston Station. From the South: Off N7 towards Heuston Station. The nearest public car park is Park Rite Parking Lot at 7 Queen Street, Dublin 7. By bus: The venue is well serviced by Dublin Bus. From city centre: Route No 123, No 13 (every 10-15 min on Saturday, 20-30 min on Sunday) from Upper O'Connell Street/College Green: take bus 40 towards Liffey Valley; bus 123 towards Walkinstown; bus 13 towards Grange Castle and get off at St James's Hospital bus stop. You can also get the C1/C2/C3/C4 buses from the city centre, getting off at Heuston Station. Check your routing at By train: Heuston station is 5 minutes' walk to the venue. If your train gets into Connolly Station, get the red line Luas from Busáras or Connolly and travel towards Tallaght/Saggart to the Heuston Station stop. Check timetables at By Luas: Take the Red Line from The Point towards Saggart/Tallaght and exit at Heuston Station. It is a five minute walk to the East Gate entrance via Military Road. Check timetables at By bike: E-scooters and e-bikes are not permitted at the festival, however public bike racks on the grounds of Royal Hospital Kilmainham are available for attendees to securely lock their e-scooters or e-bikes. Charging e-scooters or e-bikes at public bike racks or nearby locations is not permitted. Disabled access: Vehicles with a mobility impaired badge will be permitted to approach the concerts via Military Road or Bow Lane where they will be directed to the East Gate and from there to the Mobility Impaired Car Park. No special ticket is required. Note, accessible sanitary facilities will be provided as well as mobility impaired seating platform at the main stage. Can I bring a bag? No large bags are permitted into the venue. Bags must be A4 size or smaller, and they will all be subject to security checks on entry. No bags ensure faster entry as you will be fast tracked. What's the story with security? Travel sized makeup, aftershaves, perfumes, sunscreens and hand sanatisers, under 100ml are allowed. Think carry-on at the airport-sized. No other liquids, or alcohol, are permitted to bring into the festival. They will be confiscated. However, standard 750ml plastic re-usable water bottles are permitted, but they must be empty on arrival. No metal bottles are permitted. You should add your ticket to your phone's wallet to keep it handy, be weary of ticket scammers, and ensure your phone is well charged up before the event. A First Aid Tent/Ambulance Vehicle will be situated at the event. Organisers encourage festivalgoers to take regular breaks, practise active consent, write down their group's phone numbers in case some members lose their phone or get lost. Attendees are also encouraged to note and locate the wellness-area icons and visit the medics if feeling unwell. Forbidden Fruit takes place in a residential area so respect the neighbours, be sound and leave the site quietly. Smoking is permitted in dedicated areas only. Can I use cash? Forbidden fruit is a cashless event so bring a card or your phone for payments. Do I have to bring ID? Yes. Bar and catering facilities are available onsite, but organisers operate the Challenge 25 policy, so anyone that looks 25 years or under will be asked for ID. Can I leave and come back? There is no re-entry to the event, so once you're in, you're in. Day tickets are scanned once per day and weekend tickets are scanned once upon arrival each day you attend the festival. What's the weather giving? It's mixed. Saturday is expected to start dry but with rain and wind scattered throughout the day, with temperatures around 15 to 20 degrees. It's giving breezy weather again on Sunday, with a mixture of sun and showers, with temperatures expected to be between 13 and 17 degrees. But, we're in Ireland after all, so definitely prepare for all weather possibilities - with no umbrellas of course. The capital's longest-running city centre festival is back with a bang for its 13th year, taking over the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham on Saturday and Sunday. Music fans are in for a treat as some of the most exciting international and homegrown artists are gearing up for their gigs – including headliners Caribou, Jamie xx, Peggy Gou, and Underworld. But who else is playing and what else should you know before you get your groove on at Forbidden Fruit this weekend? Keep reading to find out more. Lineup and stage times While this year's headliners are sure to fill the floor during their sets, there are also plenty of other acts across five stages that are worth checking out across the weekend. Mall Grab, Effy, and Bunt are among the dance acts, but there's also a wide range of Irish talent to see for yourself, including Jazzy, Bricknasty, Spray, Khakikid, and Cliffords. Hitting up the main stage on Saturday are Jamie xx, Caribou, Glass Beams, Bricknasty, and Trinity Orchestra – Trinity College's student-run symphony ensemble. And on Sunday, festivalgoers can catch headliners Underworld and Peggy Gou at the same location after the stage gets warmed up by Fcukers, Khakikid, and Zaska. A new addition this weekend is the Lighthouse x Smirnoff Stage, which features a 360° DJ booth and visually stunning Perfect Sky Canopy. The Lighthouse x Smirnoff Stage will be the first to get the party started too, setting the tone from 2pm on both days before wrapping up at 10pm. Here are the stage times for Forbidden Fruit 2025: How to get there (and entry times) Festival gates open at 2pm on both days, with last entry admission at 9pm. Pedestrian access to the venue is via East Gate (Military Road) and West Gate (James St). Travel info here. There is no parking at the festival, but the nearest public car park is Park Rite Parking Lot at 7 Queen Street, Dublin 7. Traffic Restrictions will be in place on Military Road and Kilmainham Lane. The venue can be accessed by Dublin Bus routes, the Luas, and trains arriving at Heuston Station, which is just a five-minute walk away. E-scooters and e-bikes are not permitted at Forbidden Fruit but there are public bike racks available on the Royal Hospital grounds to securely lock them away. Important information Add your ticket to your phone's wallet to keep it handy. Beware of ticket scammers and never purchase tickets from an unofficial source. This is a cashless event, so organisers recommend bringing a card or phone for payments. Don't forget to take valid ID with you. No large bags allowed – only A4 size or smaller (no bags means faster entry). Travel-size sunscreen and hand sanitiser (100ml) are allowed.
