Singaporean among 53 deported from Malaysia in a week

JOHOR BARU: A Singaporean woman was among 53 people deported from Malaysia in the first week of August.
The woman was sent back to Singapore via the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar checkpoint, while the other 52 detainees were deported through the Senai and Kuala Lumpur international airports.
The group included 36 Bangladeshis, 11 Thais, two Vietnamese, two Indonesians, and one Chinese national.
In a statement, the Pekan Nenas Immigration Depot said all the deportees paid for their own repatriation costs.
