Motorcyclist killed following Pembina Highway crash

THE CANADIAN PRESS/David Lipnowski A 29-year-old man has died after the motorcycle he was driving was involved in a crash on Pembina Highway Wednesday night. According to Winnipeg police, the crash happened around 7 p.m. in the 1300 block on the west side of Pembina. Police say a motorcycle was travelling south on the highway when it collided with an SUV leaving a parking lot. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries. The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and spoke with police. Southbound Pembina Highway was closed for several hours as police investigated. Police are asking any witnesses, including those with dashboard cameras, to contact the traffic division at 204-986-7085.

Man, 29, dead after motorcycle crash on Pembina Highway
A 29-year-old man died after his motorcycle crashed with an SUV on Pembina Highway on Wednesday night, police say. The motorcyclist was headed south on Pembina Highway, south of McGillivray Boulevard, when he collided with an SUV as the vehicle left a parking lot shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday, police said in a news release. The motorcyclist was taken to hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries, police said. The SUV driver stayed at the site of the crash to speak with police. Southbound Pembina was closed for several hours because of the crash. The investigation into the crash continues.
