The 5 dog breeds that are known to bark the most and the one thing that links them

If you have grumpy neighbours likely to complain about noise, you may want to avoid getting any of these vocal dogs. Dogs bark. It's a fact. But did you know that some breeds of dog are more likely to bark and growl than others? The genetic make-up of different dog breeds can make them more likely to be extra vocal, particularly in stressful situations. When choosing which type of dog to get, there are many things to consider, including how often they'll need walked, or whether or not they'll shed a lot of fur. ‌ In fact, even the stinkiness of your dog can depend on the breed, and some types of dog are more likely to give off odours than others. All these factors may influence your choice of dog, but those with neighbours who often complain about noise should probably avoid these five dogs known to bark, growl and howl. ‌ But which dog breeds are the loudest? The American Kennel Club shared a list of the noisiest dog breeds that those looking for a calm and peaceful house may want to skip when choosing a puppy. And looking through the list, there is one thing that seems to link them all; they don't like their small size get in the way of a big bark. Five of the noisiest dog breeds 1. Corgi These royal pups are one of the dogs most likely to be extra vocal compared to the rest of their canine cousins. Barking is a fairly common trait with both breeds of Corgi - the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi. Historically, corgis were bred to herd sheep and cattle, giving them the characteristics to be very vocal indeed. ‌ 2. Miniature Schnauzer Terriers are known to be barkers, and are widely considered to be quite vocal. The Miniature Schnauzer enforces this stereotype of terriers. The breed, which was bred to be a guard dog and deal with rodents, has a reputation of barking at even the slightest of noises. However, it is possible to train them to be quiet. ‌ 3. Yorks The Yorkshire Terrier, or Yorkie, is another small dog known for barking. This little pooch also makes the list for being one of the smelliest dog breeds. ‌ 4. Chihuahua Chihuahuas are known for having a LOT of attitude, and it will be no surprise to any dog lover that these little yappers have made the list. In fact, chihuahuas have been known to bark pretty much continuously, and even for no reason. 5. West Highland White Terrier ‌ One from our own land of Scotland, the West Highland White Terrier has also made the list of pooches that bark more often than not. Better known as Westies, the West Highland White Terrier is a breed that loves to excitedly notify their owner of everything they notice. If you have a Westie, you're always going to know if they've come across a new sound, smell, or sight. But just because all these dogs love to bark doesn't mean you should avoid them altogether. In fact, these pups all have big personalities that need an owner who is able to appreciate them- whilst keeping their incessant barking habits in check. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Corgi's 'Disgust' Over His Chicken 'Being Overcooked by a Minute' Is the Funniest Mood

I'll be the first pup parent to admit that my dogs are wonderfully spoiled—and that's exactly how it should be! I want my boys to know nothing but comfort, love, and joy for the rest of their days, even if I have to work a little harder or walk a bit further to make it happen. I would do just about anything for my dogs, including making their food exactly to their preferences! Plenty of dedicated pup parents customize their dogs' food, which can have wonderful nutritional and health benefits for furry friends. Some people make homemade dog food, while others add supplements or fish oil, but many dog families combine their pup's kibble with chicken, just like Beebo the Corgi's family. In fact, this Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a chicken connoisseur! He knows exactly how he likes his chicken dinner prepared, so when his Mom dared to present him with an overcooked meal on March 25, he couldn't help but be disgusted! In all seriousness, this pampered pup put on quite a show over chicken 'being overcooked by a minute.' That's a Corgi for you, I suppose! LOL, Beebo couldn't even bring himself to look at the chicken once he deemed it inedible! One sniff was all it took for this hungry Corgi to decide that this meal wasn't up to par, so I can only imagine how snubbed his mom felt after making it. At least try it before you turn your nose up at it!'My corgi is this way,' a dog mom admitted in the comment section. 'I have to hand-feed her her first few bites and make sure her plate is in the right spot on the carpet.' Many dog parents can relate to this. While my Siberian Husky mix is like a vacuum when it comes to food, my rescued ChiPoo requires a bit more attention. To get my picky pup to eat, I often find myself hand-feeding him or using his favorite dog bowl. It takes a lot of effort to ensure that everything is just right to convince him to eat, but my husband and I manage to make it work. For our dogs, we'd do anything! Luckily, Beebo's mom probably feels the same way, so I wouldn't be surprised to hear if he got a second dinner that wasn't overcooked. A little drama can be extremely effective!
