The 5 dog breeds that are known to bark the most and the one thing that links them

If you have grumpy neighbours likely to complain about noise, you may want to avoid getting any of these vocal dogs.
Dogs bark. It's a fact. But did you know that some breeds of dog are more likely to bark and growl than others?
The genetic make-up of different dog breeds can make them more likely to be extra vocal, particularly in stressful situations. When choosing which type of dog to get, there are many things to consider, including how often they'll need walked, or whether or not they'll shed a lot of fur.

In fact, even the stinkiness of your dog can depend on the breed, and some types of dog are more likely to give off odours than others. All these factors may influence your choice of dog, but those with neighbours who often complain about noise should probably avoid these five dogs known to bark, growl and howl.

But which dog breeds are the loudest? The American Kennel Club shared a list of the noisiest dog breeds that those looking for a calm and peaceful house may want to skip when choosing a puppy.
And looking through the list, there is one thing that seems to link them all; they don't like their small size get in the way of a big bark.
Five of the noisiest dog breeds
1. Corgi
These royal pups are one of the dogs most likely to be extra vocal compared to the rest of their canine cousins. Barking is a fairly common trait with both breeds of Corgi - the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi.
Historically, corgis were bred to herd sheep and cattle, giving them the characteristics to be very vocal indeed.

2. Miniature Schnauzer
Terriers are known to be barkers, and are widely considered to be quite vocal. The Miniature Schnauzer enforces this stereotype of terriers.
The breed, which was bred to be a guard dog and deal with rodents, has a reputation of barking at even the slightest of noises. However, it is possible to train them to be quiet.

3. Yorks
The Yorkshire Terrier, or Yorkie, is another small dog known for barking. This little pooch also makes the list for being one of the smelliest dog breeds.

4. Chihuahua
Chihuahuas are known for having a LOT of attitude, and it will be no surprise to any dog lover that these little yappers have made the list. In fact, chihuahuas have been known to bark pretty much continuously, and even for no reason.
5. West Highland White Terrier

One from our own land of Scotland, the West Highland White Terrier has also made the list of pooches that bark more often than not.
Better known as Westies, the West Highland White Terrier is a breed that loves to excitedly notify their owner of everything they notice. If you have a Westie, you're always going to know if they've come across a new sound, smell, or sight.
But just because all these dogs love to bark doesn't mean you should avoid them altogether. In fact, these pups all have big personalities that need an owner who is able to appreciate them- whilst keeping their incessant barking habits in check.

Romeo Beckham 'splits from' Kim Turnbull after months of relationship rumours

Romeo Beckham has reportedly split from Kim Turnbull after seven months of dating, with the couple's relationship previously being blamed for the alleged Beckham family feud Romeo Beckham has reportedly parted ways with his girlfriend Kim Turnbull, following months of speculation about a rift within the Beckham family allegedly caused by their relationship. The couple, who have been together for seven months, are said to have called it quits three weeks after David Beckham's 50th birthday celebrations, which were marked by rumours of a family feud due to the apparent absence of Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz. ‌ According to the Daily Mail, insiders maintain that Romeo and Kim's split is "amicable" and unrelated to any alleged family discord. ‌ An insider told the publication: "Romeo and Kim are both young and they had a lovely time together but at that age things don't always last forever and they decided to split up." They added that the pair have remained on good terms and have been seen at the same venues since their break up, reports the Mirror. The source expressed regret over the split, noting that Romeo's parents "really adored" Kim and believed she made their son "happy". The source revealed that the break up occurred a "couple of weeks ago" and that the former couple have "remained friendly between them". The insider elaborated: " David and Victoria would hate for the view to be that they split because of Nicola and Brooklyn because that simply isn't the case. The fact is that Kim has got a really busy career as a DJ and Romeo has a busy work life too, there is lots of travelling for both of them at having a relationship at this time isn't all that conducive to their lives." Speculation about a family feud escalated earlier this month with whispers that Romeo's brother Brooklyn had a past romantic association with Kim. TMZ reported earlier this year that the past encounter was considered "all water under the bridge" then. Nonetheless, sources told the publication that the contention stemmed from the eldest sibling Brooklyn and his wife Nicola pondering whether Kim had "the right intentions" when dating Romeo. However, rumours have previously swirled claiming that in a now-removed post, Cruz Beckham stated: "Brooklyn and Kim never dated." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Body found in search for British man who went missing on stag do in Portugal

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video A body has been found in the search for a man who went missing on a stag do in Portugal. Greg Monks, 38, went missing on the first night of a five-day stay in Albufeira during the early hours of May 28. The Scotsman told friends that he was heading back to the apartments where he was staying, but was not seen again. A major search was launched, while his parents and girlfriend Nicole Ashleigh Kelso flew out to support. A body was found this afternoon in a ravine in Cerro da Aguia, to the west of Albufeira, close to where he was last seen. It was removed from a steep wasteland area by firefighters and has been taken for an autopsy. His sister Jillian Monks paid tribute to her brother and told the Daily Record: 'We are truly heartbroken. Everyone who knows Greg knows how much he will be missed and what an amazing guy he was.' A FCDO Spokesperson told Metro: 'We are supporting the family of a British man reported missing in Portugal and are in contact with the local authorities.' Portugal's Policia Judiciaria police force said in a statement: 'The PJ has located the body of the missing Scottish tourist in Albufeira. 'The disappearance of the 38-year-old UK citizen was reported to the Albufeira GNR at 8pm on May 28 by another man who was accompanying him on holiday in the area. 'After carrying out various enquiries and establishing the presumed route taken in the early hours of that day since the last sighting, the body was located on steep wasteland. 'After the appropriate judicial inspection, the body will be removed and taken to the nearest Institute of Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.' His sisters Jillian and Carlyn appeared on Sky News yesterday before today's police announcement. Carlyn said: 'As a family, we're worried sick. It's just so unlike him, but myself and Jillian are just trying to hold each other up back home.' Jillian said: 'He deserves to be found, he deserves to be looked for, we need him home. 'He's a big part of our family, and it's just unimaginable if he's just lying somewhere and we can't find him.' Jillian described Greg as a 'really hard worker' in his job and a 'quiet guy' whose disappearance immediately 'threw up a red flag'. She added that he has a Thor-type Viking unfinished tattoo at the top of his right arm which would be visible if he was wearing a vest top or had no shirt on. Hospitals have been checked without success, but police are not thought to have yet carried out an exhaustive search of medical centres. A GoFundMe has been set up on behalf of the family to help support the search which has so far raised £24,125. More Trending Organiser Gillian McCallum wrote: 'Our son Greg Monks went to Portugal for a stag do on Tuesday, May 27, and on the first night back out there he never returned to his hotel and has now been missing for three days. 'We are desperately seeking Greg's safe return and need your help. 'There are professional search teams out looking for Greg and the family have all flown out to try to help find him but don't know how long their stay will be. 'They are doing everything they can. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference in our efforts to bring Greg home.'
