Speaking during the Himpunan Mandat Negarawan here on Thursday, Muhyiddin warned of worsening poverty and hardship if no decisive action is taken by the current administration.
Advertisement He said the government's economic policies, including fuel subsidy cuts and the expanded Sales and Services Tax, had added pressure on lower-income Malaysians, particularly the B40 group. Muhyiddin noted that Perikatan Nasional (PN) had repeatedly raised issues of poverty, jobs, and income in Parliament, but claimed these were not addressed by the Prime Minister or his cabinet. He said PN is ready to present an alternative economic plan, adding that the coalition had already shown its capability in managing the country during the Covid-19 crisis. * Follow us on our official WhatsApp channel and Telegram for breaking news alerts and key updates! * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
