Image courtesy of UPI May 31 (UPI) -- Northern Exposure and Young Sheldon actress Valerie Mahaffey has died at the age of 71 after a battle with cancer. Mahaffey's publicist, Jillian Roscoe, confirmed the sad news to The Hollywood Reporter Friday. "I have lost the love of my life, and America has lost one of its endearing actresses. She will be missed," her husband Joseph Kell said in a statement to Mahaffey's other credits include Echo 3, Dead to Me, French Exit, Big Sky, Desperate Housewives, Glee and Devious Maids. Miley Cyrus surprises fans by singing 'Hannah Montana' classic 'The Climb' during a live performance; fans say 'still inspirational'

Recently, the Malibu singer took a trip down memory lane at a private concert for her fans and surprised them by singing the opening notes of 'The Climb' from the 2009 film Hannah Montana: The Movie. The 32-year-old Grammy winner teased the fans present in the concert by saying, 'I'm not singing 'The Climb,' but I could.' According to People. com, the 100-member audience burst into song the moment pianist Michael Pollack struck the opening chords. Additionally, this was the first time Cyrus had publicly performed the beloved ballad in years. Fans react with pure nostalgia, and one wrote on Reddit, "This song will never not hit." "Still inspirational tbh," another said. While another said, "She's had her accolades sure, but I feel that she's still such an underrated talent. Combs defense attorney Marc Agnifilo asked George Kaplan, Diddy's former assistant, last week whether the rapper liked apples and applesauce. Here's how that conversation transpired: Q: Did he like apples? Do you remember applesauce being a thing? A: I do. Media outlets have reported on Combs' diet throughout the investigation and trial, particularly on what he eats inside jail. On Memorial Day, reported that Combs had fruit and cereal for breakfast and BBQ chicken for lunch with mac and cheese. Jordon Hudson attacks Pablo Torre's reporting on her relationship with Bill Belichick
Jordon Hudson is getting upset. Her very public relationship with North Carolina coach Bill Belichick has created the attention she craved. But, like many public figures, she would prefer maximum attention with minimal scrutiny. In recent weeks, Pablo Torre of Pablo Torre Finds Out has carefully scrutinized the most weirdly compelling story in all of football. On Friday, Torre dropped another episode delving into, among other things, the shirtless Belichick Ring camera video that first put the possibility of an early May/late December romance onto the radar screen. Torre also explored various details regarding where and when the images of a shirtless Belichick came from. Torre even went to the precise spot and made a video of his own. (With his shirt on.) Hudson wasn't happy with that. As preserved by Zoey Lyttle of and noticed by Sam Neumann of she called out Torre with language suggesting that litigation is possibly under consideration. The Instagram comment, which was posted then deleted, said this: 'Pablo Torre's 'findings' have been nothing short of factually incorrect, slanderous, defamatory and targeted. Can y'all please stop giving credibility to this 'reporter'?' (Hey, she said 'please.') It's a page right out of a playbook that has become all too common in post-truth America. Attack those who are trying to cut through the smoke and get to the flickering flame of fact. Belichick did it to CBS, accusing the network of editing his disastrous interview to create a 'false narrative' about the extent to which she tried to control the sit-down. (Meanwhile, Channing Crowder has admitted that she successfully 'choreographed' Belichick's recent interview on The Pivot Podcast.) She separately complained about the fact that an Airbnb owner 'distribut[ed] security footage and information about tenants/their stay.' Some will dismiss Torre's reporting as salacious. But it's relevant to the unanswered question of whether and to what extent she and Belichick were an item while he coached the Patriots — and in turn whether and to what extent she was exercising influence over him. (It would be wild, to say the least, if it turned out that the crackpot scheme to put a lifelong defensive coordinator in charge of the offense in 2022 was her idea, given Torre's reporting that her presence at Patriots games dates back to 2021.) On Tuesday, Torre will join me for a special episode of #PFTPM, during which we'll discuss these developments plus whatever else we can get to. (I promise that it won't be a rambling, meandering, 184-minute dialogue that ricochets through batshit conspiracy theories after starting in the middle of conversation regarding smokeless tobacco and nicotine pouches. That said, Torre strikes me as a Skoal man.) The reporting on Belichick and Hudson won't end, any time soon. Too many outlets from the sports world and well beyond have realized the audience is interested, the audience is curious, and the audience wants to know more about how this unusual relationship came to be, and where it's heading as Belichick inches toward his first season as the head coach of a college football program in which she was previously involved, currently isn't (supposedly), and potentially could be again. Especially as of next Sunday, when Belichick acquires the contractual ability to leave the Tar Heels high and dry by writing a $1 million check and walking away.

Sean 'Diddy' Comb's daughters exit courtroom during graphic testimony during ongoing trial
Sean "Diddy" Combs' three daughters reportedly left the Manhattan courtroom on two separate occasions during his ongoing s*x crimes trial. A report from suggested that their departure occurred while a male s*x worker provided graphic and lurid testimony detailing the music mogul's alleged sexual activities. Male Escort's Testimony Details Alleged Encounters Daniel Phillip, a male escort, testified in court on Monday, May 12th, alleging that Combs' former girlfriend, Casandra "Cassie" Ventura, had paid him to engage in sexual acts with her. Phillip claimed that Combs was present during these encounters, observing them while allegedly mast@rbating in a corner of the room. Furthermore, Phillip testified that he had witnessed Combs being physically violent towards Ventura. Daughters Depart During Explicit Accounts According to reports, Combs' daughters – Chance Combs, a recent high school graduate, and his 18-year-old twins, D'Lila and Jessie Combs – left the courtroom twice during Phillip's testimony. Each instance of their departure coincided with graphic accounts of sexual encounters, including the specific detail about Combs allegedly masturbating while watching Phillip and Ventura. Family Remains for Hotel Assault Footage In contrast to their departure during the s*x worker's graphic testimony, Combs' daughters reportedly remained in the courtroom while prosecutors played security footage from a 2016 hotel incident. This footage allegedly depicted Combs assaulting Ventura, shown shoving her to the ground and kicking her while she lay motionless. Combs' mother, Janice Combs, also remained in the courtroom as the video was played. Both the daughters and Combs' mother reportedly looked straight ahead as the video evidence was presented. Combs' sons also watched the video. Combs Faces Sex Trafficking and Racketeering Charges Sean "Diddy" Combs has been formally charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has entered a plea of not guilty to these charges. A 2024 indictment reportedly accused Combs of leveraging his fame and influence to lure women and coerce them into participating in sex parties, infamously known as "Freak Off" parties, some of which allegedly spanned multiple days. Defendant's Courtroom Demeanor and Prosecution's Opening Statement On Monday, Combs made an appearance in court wearing a gray sweater over a white collared shirt and khaki pants. Upon entering the courtroom, he reportedly blew a kiss towards his family, who were present to offer their support. He also made a heart shape with his hands and gave a thumbs up to his family members. During her opening statement to the jury, Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson asserted that there was a "another side" to the Grammy-winning media mogul, beyond his public persona. She alleged that this "other side" operated a "criminal enterprise" spanning two decades, involving a team that allegedly aided in "kidnapping, arson, drugs, sex crimes." Prosecutors further stated that Combs "sometimes called himself the king and expected to be treated like one," clarifying that the case was "not about a celebrity's private sexual preferences."
