Fire breaks out at longtime Peoria Heights pizza restaurant early Friday morning
A fire broke out at the Peoria Heights restaurant Peoria Pizza Works early Friday morning, according to the Peoria Fire Department, which responded to the call.
Fire crews were called to the restaurant, which sits at 3921 N. Prospect Road, around 4 a.m. Friday morning. The Peoria Fire Department was called to the scene for mutual aid assistance by the Peoria Heights Fire Department.
A fire investigator and K-9 were on the scene to determine the cause of the fire, the Peoria Fire Department said.
In a Facebook post made Friday afternoon, Peoria Pizza Works said, "We are grateful for your support, everyone. Please give us time to figure out things from here."
