‘Percy Jackson' Season 2 gets premiere date — Season 3 casts fan-favourites Nico and Bianca
Disney+ has set December 10 as the premiere date for season two of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the fantasy series based on Rick Riordan's bestselling books. The announcement came Thursday during the show's panel at San Diego Comic-Con, which also included a teaser trailer and news about future casting. The upcoming season adapts The Sea of Monsters, the second book in Riordan's series. In a video message to fans, Riordan confirmed the date and previewed the introduction of Tyson, a Cyclops and Percy's half-brother, played by The Half of It actor Daniel Diemer. A brief glimpse of a chariot race scene at Camp Half-Blood was also included in the teaser. Executive producer Craig Silverstein praised the production scale, saying the chariot track was 'the most amazing set I've been on in my whole career.' Actor Timothy Simons, who plays Tantalus in season two, joked about the show's budget, referencing its 'fire budget' for effects-heavy scenes. The panel also offered a major update on season three. Riordan revealed that two fan-favorite characters from the books — Nico and Bianca di Angelo — have been cast. Levi Chrisopulos will play Nico as a series regular, while Olive Abercrombie will recur as Bianca. Chrisopulos has stage experience in Peter Pan and a guest role on FBI, while Abercrombie previously appeared in Mayfair Witches and Outer Range. In addition to Scobell and Diemer, the panel featured series stars Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, and Dior Goodjohn, alongside executive producers Jonathan E. Steinberg, Dan Shotz, and Silverstein. Riordan and his wife Rebecca remain closely involved as executive producers.

‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians' Charts a Seafaring Course for Season 2
It was no surprise when Percy Jackson and the Olympians was renewed for a second season in early 2024—the Disney+ series was a hit when it premiered back in 2023, building on the popularity of Rick Riordan's fantasy-adventure novel series. Then—earlier this year, before season two even arrived—it was renewed for a third installment. That's a huge boost of confidence for all involved, and the excitement came through in the show's San Diego Comic-Con panel, held in the cavernous Hall H. Come sail away. #PercyJackson and the Olympians Season 2 is coming to #DisneyPlus December 10. — Percy Jackson (@PercySeries) July 24, 2025Here's Disney's description of season two: 'Percy Jackson returns to Camp Half-Blood one year later to find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth is changing, he learns he has a cyclops for a brother, Grover has gone missing, and camp is under siege from the forces of Kronos. Percy's journey to set things right will take him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon.' That makes sense, since season two arrives in December 10, and will adapt The Sea of Monsters, the second book in Riordan's series. On hand for the panel were the stars of the show (Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, and Daniel Diemer), plus executive producers Jon Steinberg, Craig Silverstein, and Dan Shotz.
