BTS Releases ‘Permission To Dance On Stage – Live' Album After 3 Years Of Hiatus

Last Updated: The live album is named after their 2021 sold-out tour, titled "Permission to Dance." The moment ARMYs from all around the world have been waiting for is finally here! BTS has just released their Permission To Dance On Stage – Live album on July 18, their first project since completing their respective military services. This is also their first release in three years, marking their return as a full unit after a hiatus. The Live album, named after their sold-out tour Permission to Dance, is nearly an hour and 20 minutes long. It features 22 songs from the K-pop supergroup's 2021 tour, which was held across South Korea and the United States. The septet had originally launched their PTD tour as an online concert due to COVID-19 restrictions. And when the world opened up, they decided to expand the tour to stages. BTS performed 12 massive shows in Seoul, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, drawing in over 4 million fans through in-person shows, live cinema viewing and online streaming. Permission To Dance On Stage – Live album features some of the fan favourites, including DNA, Idol, Fake Love and Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey), along with Black Swan, Spring Day, Airplane pt. 2 and Silver Spoon. And of course, their English-language anthems Butter, Dynamite and Permission to Dance are also included in the track listing. The album comes with a digital code for the live recording of the group's Seoul performance. In early July, the seven members — RM, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, V and Jungkook — gathered together for the first time since their hiatus in 2022. The septet hosted a Weverse livestream, where they informed the fans of their future endeavours after their military discharge. BTS revealed that they were heading to Los Angeles to work on their brand-new album, which is scheduled to be released somewhere between March and May 2026. They will be in the United States for a special songwriting camp, where they will work with international producers. Besides announcing a new album, they also shared that they will embark on their highly anticipated world tour, marking the first since their Permission to Dance tour. 'We'll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year. Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member's thoughts and ideas," the group said in a statement. Until the release of their new album in 2026, the members are busy finishing their previous solo commitments. First Published:
