BTS-Themed Rakhis Hit Indian Market And Desi Fans Are Loving It
Last Updated: BTS group has never visited India, but they still enjoy a fan following of millions in the country. BTS might have never stepped in India, but that doesn't mean they don't have ardent fans here. The country is among the top ones when it comes to streaming their songs and solo projects. If anything, the K-pop supergroup has a fan following of millions in India. So much so that their presence is felt everywhere, even without BTS ever setting foot here. From school notebooks to soft toys, key chains, and whatnot, you name it, and you will definitely find some unofficial merchandise with their faces on it. The latest item to join the craze is a BTS-themed rakhi for the upcoming festival of Rakshabandhan. A fan in Hyderabad recently discovered a store selling rakhis featuring motifs of RJ, a cute alpaca character created by Jin for the BT21 brand. These cute rakhis were likely priced between Rs 10 and Rs 15, making them perfectly affordable for everyone. dudee we got rj rakhis Fans React To Rakhis With RJ's Face In no time, ARMYs took note of the viral post and started sharing how they might buy such rakhis to wear as bracelets, while another section also discussed BTS' popularity in India. 'Mereko rakhi pehna do (tie this rakhi to me). I promise I'll protect you," said one user. Another added, 'I'm not even a Hindu, but WELL GIVE IT TO ME IMMA KEEP IT AS A GIFT." A different fan mischievously commented, 'I will buy it if it's available in my area in the name of my brother for myself." Is BTS Coming To India? Ever since the BTS members – RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook – completed their military services, fans eagerly waited for the announcement of their new project. And they did not disappoint. They not only announced a brand-new album, scheduled for release between March and May 2026, but BTS also spoke about their highly anticipated world tour. With this announcement, and the launch of HYBE India by September or October of this year, the buzz surrounding their shows has intensified. There is a possibility that BTS might organise shows in India as part of their world tour, but nothing is confirmed as of now. Right now, the seven members are in the US, working on their upcoming album. In the meantime, there is a possibility of solo projects from the septet in the coming months. Also, they made their return to the music scene, as a unit, after three years with the live album, Permission to Dance On Stage- Live, which was released on July 18. BTS Is Reigning Supreme With The Release Of Permission To Dance Live Album
Last Updated: Permission to Dance On Stage- Live features 22 songs from their sold-out tour by the same name. Within a month of all members completing their mandatory military service, BTS released a new project, titled Permission to Dance On Stage – Live, on July 18. It is their first release in three years, and marks their return as a full unit after a hiatus. Although the album brings back their past hits, their fans were still extremely excited about the comeback of their favourite musicians, and they absolutely loved it. What's the proof? A report by Billboard revealed that music fanatics chose BTS ' Permission to Dance live album over any other artist that week. On July 18, the media outlet published a poll offering choices between BTS, Alex Warren, Nine Inch Nails, Jessie Murph, and Zach Bryan. Among all, the K-pop supergroup's first-ever live album emerged as the favourite release in the past week. Permission to Dance On Stage- Live received 94 per cent votes, whereas Alex Warren, who released You'll Be Alright Kid, could manage only 2.03 per cent of the votes. Jessie Murph for Sex Hysteria, Zach Bryan for Madeline feat. Gabrielle Rose and Nine Inch Nails for As Alive As You Need Me to Be received 0.27 per cent, 0.32 per cent and 0.68 per cent, respectively. BTS' live album, named after their 2021 sold-out tour Permission to Dance, features 22 songs. An hour and 20 minutes long, the album features songs like DNA, Idol, Fake Love, Dynamite and Butter, among others. They also released a digital package called Permission to Dance On Stage – Seoul, which features the live recording og their performance in Seoul as well as some behind-the-scenes photos. The live album came at a time when the septet, comprising RM, Jin, J-Hope, Suga, Jimin, V and Jungkook, had officially reunited to prepare for a brand-new album. During a Weverse live event earlier this month, the group announced not only a new album, slated for release sometime in 2026, but also their highly anticipated world tour. 'We'll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year. Starting in July, all seven of us will begin working closely together on new music. Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member's thoughts and ideas," they said in a statement. BTS is currently in Los Angeles, preparing for their new album. view comments First Published: July 22, 2025, 14:38 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
