Northamptonshire rail delays after person hit by train
Train services have been disrupted after a person was hit by a Midlands Railway (EMR) said journeys had been cancelled, disrupted or revised following the incident between Kettering and Wellingborough stations in Northamptonshire at about 12:55 BST on company said no trains were running in either direction between Bedford and said disruption was "likely for the remainder of the day" on services to and from London St Pancras with a reduced number of trains in operation.
On its website and a post on X, EMR said: "We are sorry to report that we will have disruption for the next few hours on our London Intercity & Connect routes, to/from London St Pancras. Sadly a person has been hit by a train."Passengers are advised to take alternative routes if travelling on Tuesday are being accepted on other routes and tickets dated today will be valid to travel on Wednesday, EMR Transport Police has been approached for comment.
