Driver suffers ‘life-altering' injuries after single-vehicle crash north of Kingston

Ontario Provincial Police say a 28-year-old driver suffered critical injuries after a single-vehicle crash north of Kingston early Sunday morning.
Police say officers responded to reports of a crash shortly after 12:15 a.m. on Wilmer Road in the village of Perth Road.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported to hospital with 'life-altering' and 'potentially life-threatening' injuries.
The crash led to the closure of Wilmer Road for several hours but it has since reopened.
An investigation is ongoing.
The crash site is located approximately 25 kilometres north of Kingston and 145 kilometres southwest of downtown Ottawa.
