More than $40K raised from 11th Annual Rockin' for a Cure Pete Goede ALS Benefit Concert
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The 11th Annual Rockin' for a Cure Pete Goede ALS Benefit Concert raised more than $40,000 in donations. The concert took place on May 4 at the Anthem inside of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Sioux City. The free event had a full day of music along with live and silent auctions. According to the ALS Association, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis is a 'progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.' There's no cure yet for the disease. KCAU 9 is a proud sponsor of the Rockin' For A Cure: Pete Goede ALS Benefit Concert. This year, KCAU 9 donated $5,000 to ALS of the Heartland. Payment processing outage scheduled Tuesday in South Sioux City
SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KCAU) — The City of South Sioux City will be unable to take payments from residents and businesses on Tuesday morning. The city said in a release that there will be maintenance on its payment processing system starting Tuesday, May 8, at 8 a.m. The outage is expected to last several hours. The city said that online and in-person payments will be temporarily unavailable during the outage. 'This planned outage is necessary to perform system upgrades that will enhance the reliability and performance of the city's payment services,' the release said. 'The maintenance window is expected to last several hours.' 11th annual Pete Goede ALS Benefit Concert Once the payment system is back to being fully operational, the city will notify the public.
