West Valley police offering $10K reward in 2022 cold case murder
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah () — After three years, authorities are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in a .
On May 5, 2022, Pete Ulibarri, 45, was struck by a bullet during a drive-by shooting and later died. According to the , the shooting happened just before midnight in front of a West Valley home in the 3500 block of 6400 West.
'Witnesses reported that a vehicle drove past the home, made a U-turn, slowed in front of the address, and several shots were fired,' police said.

According to previous reporting, Ulibarri was originally after the incident. West Valley police said the suspects are believed to be gang-affiliated and 'were likely targeting someone at the residence.'
'However, Mr. Ulibarri had no gang affiliation and appears to have been an innocent victim in the case,' police wrote in a statement on Sunday.
Police said that the public's help is needed to solve the case, and said that investigators are 'actively pursuing all leads in this case.'
'Investigators believe that some people have information about this homicide and would like to encourage them to come forward,' police said.
