Phaedra Parks Returns to The Real Housewives of Atlanta — Reunites with Porsha Williams and Reflects on Her Past
After years away from the peach-holding spotlight, Phaedra Parks made her highly anticipated return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Sunday, May 25, stepping in to fill the space left by Kenya Moore's mid-season exit. The comeback marks a new chapter for the attorney and reality TV star — one she's embracing with both reflection and renewed energy. Welcoming her back to the group was none other than her longtime friend and former co-star, Porsha Williams. Their reunion on-screen was a moment of full-circle grace, especially given the rocky history that once threatened their bond. In a candid confessional, Phaedra didn't shy away from addressing her controversial departure from the franchise. 'Unfortunately, the last time you saw me wasn't my best moment,' she admitted. But she also made it clear that the situation wasn't one-sided. 'Now, we know I regret how I left the group, but he who is without fault cast the first stone.' Phaedra's original exit in 2017 came after a fallout stemming from a major scandal that rocked the cast. Since then, both she and Porsha, 43, have taken time to heal — separately and together. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Transform Your Child's Confidence with Our Public Speaking Program Planet Spark Book Now Undo Now, the two seem stronger than ever. 'My relationship with Porsha is awesome,' Phaedra said with a smile. 'We have had our ups and downs, but we've always maintained that friendship. When there is a true friendship, no matter what you go through, it can never be broken, and it's just like riding a bicycle. When we get together, we are rolling.' Porsha echoed that sentiment, revealing that once she moved through her 'healing process,' she didn't even dwell on the drama that once defined their relationship. Phaedra's return has already added a fresh dynamic to the group, and with her wit, poise, and sharp tongue back in the mix, fans are eager to see how the rest of the season unfolds. Whether she's mending old wounds, reigniting friendships, or stirring the pot in true RHOA fashion, one thing is certain — Miss Parks is back, and she's holding her peach with purpose.

Phaedra Parks returns to RHOA after 8 years, reflects on past firing and shades new costars
Phaedra Parks made a highly anticipated return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta on May 25, stepping into Kenya Moore's role after her mid-season exit. The 51-year-old attorney, who was fired in 2017 after spreading rumors about Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker, reflected on her controversial departure, admitting, 'Unfortunately, the last time you saw me wasn't my best moment." Despite acknowledging her past mistake, Phaedra hinted at not being entirely to blame, stating, 'He who is without fault cast the first stone.' Phaedra's return marks a reunion with former friend Porsha Williams, with whom she's made amends. Their bond, described as unbreakable, was apparent when Phaedra said, 'When there is a true friendship, no matter what you go through, it can never be broken.' Their shared history and playful dynamic added a lighthearted tone to the episode, including Phaedra's quick wit and shade aimed at new cast members. As for the new faces, Phaedra wasted no time injecting humor into the group. She compared Kelli Ferrell to a "garden gnome" and threw playful jabs at Brit Eady, saying, "She's got more bodies than Willie.' This moment of humor was followed by a hilarious exchange with Porsha about Drew Sidora's rumored romantic entanglements. In her confessional, Phaedra ended the episode with a cheeky remark, calling her new co-stars 'strawberry shortcake on steroids' and teasing the upcoming drama. With a promise of more fun and foolishness ahead, Phaedra left fans excited for the season's unfolding drama.

RHOA‘s Phaedra Parks Marks a New Era: ‘I'm Single, Satisfied & Successful'
Phaedra Parks throwing shade during the first few minutes of her return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta wasn't planned—it was instinct. 'I was just being myself,' Phaedra tells StyleCaster. 'And, you know, with Frick and Frack together, it's just fun,' she adds of reuniting with Porsha Williams on screen. More from StyleCaster Summer House's Amanda Batula Teases the Real Reason She Was 1st Seat at the Reunion: 'I Was Flabbergasted' (Exclusive) The Beauty of Coco Jones In case you missed it, Porsha popped over to Phaedra's house for the grand reveal of the popular attorney's return. Within seconds, Phaedra poked fun at newbies Brit Eady, Angela Oakley, and Kelli Ferrell. She teased Brit for being, well, outside, and affectionately referred to Kelli as a garden gnome. As for Angela, Phaedra claimed she didn't even know she was married to Charles Oakley. 'I didn't know,' she tells StyleCaster, doubling down. 'I've known him for years, and I had no idea he was married. I've never met Angela Oakley a day in my life. It's the truth.' A few days before Phaedra's return aired, Drew Sidora sat down with Carlos King and threw a little shade of her own, saying Phaedra didn't do much besides give the women 'faces.' Phaedra's response? 'Wolves bark at the moon, but when you're the moon, you keep shining.' Things are also better between Phaedra and Shamea Morton. Longtime RHOA fans know the two were on rocky terms before Phaedra's Season 9 exit, largely due to allegations that Shamea and Kandi Burruss had been intimate—among other things. But according to Phaedra, they've since made amends, thanks in part to a mutual friend: Fiskani Kaira, owner of The Ivy Showroom, where Phaedra is a silent partner. I don't have to worry about anyone else's opinions. '[Shamea] and I have crossed paths a lot because she frequents the showroom, we've worked together, and she even got my boys tickets to see the Atlanta Hawks,' Phaedra says. 'Our relationship has evolved. People evolve. Plus, it's been so long since I was last on the show.' While Phaedra and Shamea are on good terms now, Shamea and Porsha are not—at least, not like they used to be. The season explores the fallout of their friendship, which some fans say has been a long time coming. According to Phaedra, though, it's all about giving grace. 'Friendships are hard, and Porsha is obviously having a very rough time in her life. Navigating divorce, and doing that publicly, it's rough,' she says. 'When people are having marital issues and going through things, they're not at their best. She's at a place where she's just trying to remain sane. You need friends to just understand and support you.' Phaedra says she wants nothing more than to support Porsha, and gushes about their dynamic—one that was undeniably icy the last time we saw them together on Bravo. I'm free to be who I am. During the Season 9 reunion, Porsha alleged that Phaedra was the one who told her Kandi and Todd Burruss wanted to drug her. The rumor exploded, with all of the women in tears. Phaedra apologized, but her relationship with Kandi (who left following Season 16 after 14 years) has remained strained. After a hiatus, Phaedra returned to Bravo via Married to Medicine Season 10, before making her way back to RHOA following a tense M2M departure. 'They really wanted me back,' she says, adding that it was actually Porsha who made the call and asked her to rejoin. 'I want to be somewhere where I can make an impact. Porsha and I have always remained close, and the fans wanted to see me again. All of the things matched up for me, so when things align, I act in accordance.' Even though we're only one episode in, it already feels like Phaedra is back where she belongs. She seems noticeably happier than she was on Married to Medicine, which ended with her leaving the cast trip after her ex-husband Apollo Nida and his then-wife Sherien Copes showed up. She also skipped the M2M reunion. 'That's a different group of women,' she says of the doctors and doctors' wives. 'They're very different from the Housewives. The banter was very different. I mean, God bless. Housewives are just … very confident. I'll say that,' she adds with a smile. Still, there's no bad blood between her and the M2M cast. Phaedra says she's still in touch with a few, namely Dr. Contessa Metcalfe, Lateasha 'Sweet Tea' Lunceford, and Toya Bush-Harris. I want to be somewhere where I can make an impact. As for what to expect from Phaedra this season of RHOA, one thing's already clear: she's in a new era. The church hats and black tea dresses are gone. When she opened the door to greet Porsha, she was wearing head-to-toe Gucci and rocking platinum hair. What sparked the transformation? 'Well, when you first saw me, I was married to a person who was very controlling,' Phaedra says. 'Now, I'm free to be who I am, and I don't have to consider my partner. I'm single, satisfied, and successful. I can do what I want, and I don't have to worry about anyone else's opinions.' She says her fashion reflects her new mindset: 'Happy and free,' she adds. 'I'm just very happy.' While she's embracing this new chapter, one thing remains her top priority: motherhood. 'My career obviously affects my children,' she says of sons Ayden and Dylan, whom she shares with Apollo. 'We always have roundtables at our home about what I will and won't do. My first priority is always being a mother and protecting my boys. I'm not ever going to put them in any position where they have to defend me.' Surprisingly, it was her son Ayden who encouraged her to return. 'He remembers. Dylan, not so much, but Ayden definitely has vivid memories of being on television. So, if they're fine with it, I'm fine with it. That was pretty much the conversation before I accepted the job.' ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 16: Everything to Know So Far
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is serving up big peach energy in 2025. After an extended hiatus, Bravo's reality show will enter a new era when its sweet season 16 premieres with a supersized episode on Sunday, March 9. While viewers can count on watching familiar faces like Porsha Williams, Drew Sidora and returning star Phaedra Parks, new Housewives including Shamea Morton Mwangi, Brit Eady, Kelli Ferrell and Angela Oakley are expected to bring glitz, glamour and drama to Atlanta. 'I think people have been waiting a long time to see what we've done. We've got great new housewives," Andy Cohen told Bravo's The Daily Dish in December 2024. 'We've got the return of Porsha. We've got the return of Phaedra. Shamea is a full Housewife. I mean, she's someone that we've been seeing for years and years, but seeing her in this way is totally a breath of fresh air." Marlo Hampton Reacts to Real Housewives of Atlanta's 'New Direction' for Season 16 Here's everything you need to know about Season 16: On January 30, Bravo released the official trailer for RHOA season 16. At the time, the network also confirmed the season would kick off with a supersized episode on Sunday, March 9, at 8 p.m. ET. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock. Fans of the show will immediately recognize Porsha and Drew, who have already been full-time Housewives for multiple seasons. At the same time, viewers will quickly meet some new faces including Brit Eady, Kelli Ferrell and Angela Oakley, who is married to NBA legend Charles Oakley. Although she was a full-time Housewife for RHOA in seasons 3 to 13, Cynthia was grateful to have the opportunity to be a 'friend' of the cast for her season 16 return. 'As an official friend, I actually go on the trips and I'm actually with the ladies a lot more,' Cynthia shared with Us in November 2024. 'I'm a little more in the mix this time. And for me, it's the perfect situation for me because I miss the girls. I still am connected to so many of the ladies on the show, but my focus still is my acting career, which is going great by the way, but it's so much fun to stay connected to the show and to the fans.' According to Bravo, Phaedra will join the ladies with 'some extra sass and spice' later in the season, 'but right on time to make her sweetest return.' Cynthia previously teased that her longtime friend brings the heat in her highly anticipated return. 'It's been a long time coming,' she told Us. 'Phaedra's been away from the show for a while now, and I have to say she literally came in within, like, two and a half weeks left of filming and did something that's never been done before the history of Housewives.' Although Kenya appeared in the trailer for season 16 and was originally part of the cast, she abruptly exited the series due to an alleged explicit photo scandal. 'Thank you for all the support #teamtwirl,' Kenya wrote via Instagram in June 2024 after the incident. 'My heart is full and my conscience is clean. So many false claims hiding behind anonymous sources. All this conversation and no facts being reported. If a claim or source was valid, would they need to hide?' Former 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Stars: Where Are They Now? While many story lines have been kept secret during filming, Porsha previously teased that she will be discussing her divorce from Simon Guobadia in the new season. "In my relationship with Simon, I felt like that if I had him by my side, we would conquer anything," she explained during a confessional that aired at Bravo Fan Fest. "However, I started just realizing a lot of different things that turned out to be untruth." Based on the season trailer, Porsha will also find herself discussing another ex. When rumors start to swirl about Drew's questionable partnership with Dennis McKinley, Porsha can't help but ask some questions.
