‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 16: Everything to Know So Far
The Real Housewives of Atlanta is serving up big peach energy in 2025.
After an extended hiatus, Bravo's reality show will enter a new era when its sweet season 16 premieres with a supersized episode on Sunday, March 9.
While viewers can count on watching familiar faces like Porsha Williams, Drew Sidora and returning star Phaedra Parks, new Housewives including Shamea Morton Mwangi, Brit Eady, Kelli Ferrell and Angela Oakley are expected to bring glitz, glamour and drama to Atlanta.
'I think people have been waiting a long time to see what we've done. We've got great new housewives," Andy Cohen told Bravo's The Daily Dish in December 2024. 'We've got the return of Porsha. We've got the return of Phaedra. Shamea is a full Housewife. I mean, she's someone that we've been seeing for years and years, but seeing her in this way is totally a breath of fresh air."

On January 30, Bravo released the official trailer for RHOA season 16. At the time, the network also confirmed the season would kick off with a supersized episode on Sunday, March 9, at 8 p.m. ET. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
Fans of the show will immediately recognize Porsha and Drew, who have already been full-time Housewives for multiple seasons.
At the same time, viewers will quickly meet some new faces including Brit Eady, Kelli Ferrell and Angela Oakley, who is married to NBA legend Charles Oakley.
Although she was a full-time Housewife for RHOA in seasons 3 to 13, Cynthia was grateful to have the opportunity to be a 'friend' of the cast for her season 16 return.
'As an official friend, I actually go on the trips and I'm actually with the ladies a lot more,' Cynthia shared with Us in November 2024. 'I'm a little more in the mix this time. And for me, it's the perfect situation for me because I miss the girls. I still am connected to so many of the ladies on the show, but my focus still is my acting career, which is going great by the way, but it's so much fun to stay connected to the show and to the fans.'
According to Bravo, Phaedra will join the ladies with 'some extra sass and spice' later in the season, 'but right on time to make her sweetest return.'
Cynthia previously teased that her longtime friend brings the heat in her highly anticipated return. 'It's been a long time coming,' she told Us. 'Phaedra's been away from the show for a while now, and I have to say she literally came in within, like, two and a half weeks left of filming and did something that's never been done before the history of Housewives.'
Although Kenya appeared in the trailer for season 16 and was originally part of the cast, she abruptly exited the series due to an alleged explicit photo scandal.
'Thank you for all the support #teamtwirl,' Kenya wrote via Instagram in June 2024 after the incident. 'My heart is full and my conscience is clean. So many false claims hiding behind anonymous sources. All this conversation and no facts being reported. If a claim or source was valid, would they need to hide?'
Former 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Stars: Where Are They Now?
While many story lines have been kept secret during filming, Porsha previously teased that she will be discussing her divorce from Simon Guobadia in the new season.
"In my relationship with Simon, I felt like that if I had him by my side, we would conquer anything," she explained during a confessional that aired at Bravo Fan Fest. "However, I started just realizing a lot of different things that turned out to be untruth."
Based on the season trailer, Porsha will also find herself discussing another ex. When rumors start to swirl about Drew's questionable partnership with Dennis McKinley, Porsha can't help but ask some questions.

Every 'John Wick' movie, ranked — including 'Ballerina'
Ever since "John Wick" first exploded onto the big screen back in 2014, Keanu Reeves' legendary hitman has been adored by action movie fans, myself included. Across the last decade, the "Wickverse" has expanded far beyond the initial setup of "retired assassin gets revenge on the twerp who killed his dog." Since then, Wick's gone global, gunned down countless foes, and taken on some of the most powerful players in the game. And, in that time, the "John Wick" movies have continued to do what they do best: serve up tons of ultra-thrilling on-screen action, time and time again. There simply isn't a "bad" movie among them. In the run-up to the newly released "John Wick" spinoff, "Ballerina," I revisited all four of the previous installments to prepare for more carnage. Following this refresher, here are all five "John Wick" movies, ranked. Alas, our most recent addition to the "John Wick" canon is the weakest of the lot. "Ballerina" is far from a bad watch, to be clear. Eve Macarro (Ana de Armas) makes for a great new lead, and the movie packs in plenty of stellar setpieces that fans are going to love — the entire final act is a riot. — But I think the story isn't as well-conceived as it could have been. Past "John Wick" watches set the bar so, so high, and I just don't think "Ballerina" eclipses the past four films. It's a hollow but still entertaining experience, one that is worthy of the franchise name, but isn't quite as propulsive as what's come before. I'm sure this won't be a popular choice, but while I adore the simplicity of the story and the tight, grittier feel of the original "John Wick," on reflection, I think I like where the franchise goes more than where it starts. Make no mistake, I have a lot of love for the original Wick flick. From the jump, Reeves' assassin means serious business, and seeing Keanu stoically rip through countless bad guys is gleefully fun. "John Wick" is still a blast, and represents the assassin in his purest form, but if I were asked which of the movies was my favorite, this would not be my answer. Watch on Peacock "John Wick: Chapter 2" is, plain and simple, a bigger, bloodier version of what came before. Wick's plans to give up on the killing once more are interrupted by the arrival of Santino D'Antonio, who's here to collect on an old favor. I've just said I appreciate where the franchise goes (probably making the ranking obvious), but "Chapter 2" did exactly what a "John Wick" follow-up needed to: show us John kicking plenty more ass in another set of stylish, skilfully staged action sequences, while also building the mythology out that little bit more. It might opt for the "more is more" approach, but let me remind you that "Chapter 2" contains — among other things — the tube fight with Cassian, the museum melee, the campy shopping montage, the hall of mirrors scene, and the pencil kill. In other words? It's worth it. Watch on Peacock "Parabellum" ups the ante on its predecessor significantly. With John now "excommunicado" and unable to access the resources of the assassin underworld, he's on the run, and there's practically a killer lurking around every corner after the hefty bounty on his head. The stakes feel on another level, and that results in a thrilling opening act (how can you not love the knife store melee, or the library book execution?). We stick the landing, too, with the gripping siege on the New York Continental. I know that some fans don't love the way this leans a little more into its sillier, expansive universe, but I think "Parabellum's" highs are just too good. Oh, and yes, I think the motorcycle katana fight is cool; sue me. Watch on Peacock The first time I sat down to watch 'John Wick 4,' I'll admit to feeling a little skeptical; having clocked the near three-hour runtime, I was a little concerned Wick's fourth outing would outstay its welcome. As we all know, that literally couldn't be further from the truth. 'John Wick 4' is an embarrassment of riches for the action genre. The franchise's fourth installment is a lavish, epic thrill-ride stuffed to the brim with ludicrously cool action sequences that have been burned into my memory ever since I watched them. The Arc de Triomphe scrap that has John and his foes dipping in and out of traffic right by the Parisian monument. The following birds-eye sequence equips John with an incendiary shotgun. The brawl with Killa at the club. The iconic stairway fight. The uber-tense duel with Caine. I could go on. The fight choreography (and the camerawork that captures it) in 'John Wick 4' is just off the charts. It's the franchise at its most maximalist. Excessive? Absolutely. Bloated? Potentially — but gloriously so. Wick's latest outing is a genuine masterclass in on-screen thrills, and I truly believe it to be one of the very best action movies ever committed to the big screen. Their only lead is a cryptic message left behind: "Find the accountant." This clever slasher-comedy follows a group of Black friends who head to a remote cabin to celebrate Juneteenth. While exploring the cabin's game room, they stumble upon a board game called "The Blackening," which features a racist caricature mascot on the cover and pieces that correlate to each member of the group. To their horror, they find themselves locked in while a "Saw"-esque broadcast explains that they must compete in "The Blackening," a trivia-based game on Black culture, if they want to survive. To make it through the night, they'll have to rely on their wits along with their deep knowledge of horror movie clichés. "The Blackening" is hilariously self-aware, poking fun at classic genre tropes while still delivering suspense and surprises. 'Love Island' Contestant Issues Apology After Being Removed From Show For Saying The N-Word
Shortly after Peacock announced the "Love Island USA" cast in late May 2025, video clips of a new islander, Yulissa Escobar, saying the N-word on a previous podcast went viral online. During the season's second episode, which aired on June 4, 2025, the "Love Island USA" narrator, Iain Stirling, announced that producers had removed Escobar from the villa, which many fans assumed was due to her past problematic statements. Now, after some time to process the news that she'd no longer be in the running for the $100,000 grand prize on the most recent season of "Love Island," Escobar released an apology, which has drawn a mixed reaction from fans. On Instagram, Escobar posted a graphic that read, "Owning my mistakes; speaking my truth." In the caption, she wrote, "First, I want to apologize for using a word I had no right in using," referring to viral clips of her using the N-word while speaking about men during a previous podcast episode. "In those clips, I used a word I never should've used, a racial slur," she wrote. "I used it ignorantly, not fully understanding the weight, history, or pain behind it." She continued, "I wasn't trying to be offensive or harmful, but I recognize now that intention doesn't excuse impact. And the impact of that word is real. It's tied to generations of trauma, and it is not mine to use." Elsewhere, in her caption, Escobar explained that when she used the word, she was "speaking casually in conversation" and wasn't thinking "deeply or critically" about how her words could impact others. "The truth is, I didn't know better then, but I do now. I've taken the time to reflect, to learn, and to grow from that moment," she added. "I've changed a lot since then, not just in how I speak, but in how I show up, how I carry myself, and how I honor the experiences of others," Escobar continued. "Growth means recognizing when you were wrong, even if it's uncomfortable, and choosing to move forward with humility and accountability." As she finished, the now-former reality star explained that she was choosing to speak for herself and did not want anyone commenting on her behalf. "I'm choosing to speak for myself because I take full ownership of my actions. Do not listen to the fake statements. This is my official statement. This is me, speaking directly to you," she wrote. On X, formerly Twitter, many "Love Island" viewers voiced their opinions about Escobar's statement, with many questioning its sincerity. "Girl, you just got kicked out of the villa," one user wrote. "How much time have you really taken to reflect on this?" "I understand why they chose to have her exit the villa, but she didn't learn anything by that," another user commented. "This apology may or may not have been genuine. Having her stay in the villa and understand the weight of the word would have either been a better lesson or shown viewers how she really feels." "Not understanding the weight, history, or pain of the word? I don't buy it," a user posted. "It doesn't take thinking 'deeply or critically' to know not to say the number one racial slur," another user shared. "This is so embarrassing." However, under Escobar's Instagram post, the 27-year-old also received support from a handful of followers. One user said, "Everybody makes mistakes," while another said, "Life is about growth and learning." "We live, we learn, and we grow!" a third commented. "This doesn't define you. Sending you warm hugs." Since Escobar's exit from the villa, "Love Island USA" producers have brought in two new cast members to turn up the heat, bringing the current lineup to 11.
