Man hit by 2 vehicles crossing street in Marietta
A man received life-threatening injuries when he was hit by two different vehicles crossing the street, Marietta police said. The collisions happened Monday night just before midnight in front of 692 Powder Springs St. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] The initial investigation suggests that the unidentified man was crossing Powder Springs Street in the crosswalk but didn't obey the traffic control device. A 2020 Mercedes Benz heading south bound on Powder Springs Road hit the man. He was then hit by a 2015 Nissan also heading south. Drew Sidora Reveals She Dated Michael B. Jordan: 'People That Know, Know'
Drew Sidora's latest confession about a past relationship has left many surprised, mostly because it has never been mentioned until now. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star recently sat down with Carlos King on his Reality with the King podcast, where she dished on her past relationships with Ty Young and Dennis McKinley — while also dropping a bombshell. The Step Up star revealed that she once dated Michael B. Jordan, long before he became the Hollywood heartthrob and talent he is today. 'I dated Michael B. Jordan,' she casually said. 'I never said that out loud publicly, but people that know, know.' Possibly even throwing a little shade at her past lovers, she added, 'I like biceps, not bellies.' And we all know MBJ has that plus more. Drew went on to reminisce about the days when Jordan was still a rising star, back when he was acting on All My Children in the early 2000s. According to Drew, she even attended the NAACP Awards as his date at that time. 'He asked me to be his date to the NAACP awards,' she recalled, adding that they were also friendly with each other's families. 'My sister Allison … he would come over and she would cook for him … I met his mom, and you know it was great.' Drew, however, isn't the only one who has spilled tea about a past Michael B. Jordan romance. Brie Tiesi made headlines in 2023 when she claimed to have been intimate with the Sinners star. During a dinner scene on Netflix's real estate reality show, Selling Sunset, Brie casually flexed, 'I could do that and I've done that,' when asked if she'd sleep with Jordan. Another realtor responded to her claims with, 'I want to live through that vagina right now.' While the world has witnessed Jordan's publicized romance with Lori Harvey, he's kept his dating life under wraps since their public split. The 38-year-old has since made it clear that he's not rushing into anything. 'My next relationship is gonna happen when it's supposed to happen,' he told Rolling Stone in 2023. The divorce of Real Housewives of Atlanta alums and continues to unravel in dramatic and very public fashion, and Kim's finally breaking her silence. During a live taping in Atlanta for Kristin Cavallari's Let's Be Honest podcast for E!'s Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour show, Kim opened up about her painful split. The two reality stars bonded over their messy breakups – Kristin finalized her divorce from former NFL player Jay Cutler in 2022 – and Kim didn't hold back. A preview for Kristin's upcoming E! show teased a raw conversation with Kim about love gone wrong. Kristin, no stranger to high-profile splits herself, didn't mince words: 'We're over here like, 'Are you f*cking kidding me?'' Kim took the moment to directly address a major accusation from her estranged husband. 'I've wanted to speak,' she told the crowd. 'Like, Kroy filing a motion saying I'm an unfit parent. I've been on TV what? Like 17 years. The only thing that hasn't been said about me is that I've been a bad parent. You cannot say that.' She continued, 'My kids are my entire life. They always have been. I raised my girls by myself. And that's one thing that Kroy knew what would hurt me the most.' Since filing for divorce in May 2023 after 11 years of marriage, things have spiraled fast. From numerous police visits to a court-ordered schedule for accessing their primary suite closet, the legal back-and-forth has been relentless. 'You're with somebody for this long, I'm not an *sshole,' Kim said. 'I still, even today, was nice on the phone. I still treat him with respect.' Even Kristin seemed overwhelmed by the intensity. 'It's not black or white, it's so complicated,' she said. There was once a glimmer of hope, the couple briefly called off the divorce last July. But Kroy refiled just weeks later, asking for sole custody and alimony. And though Kim claims they were still sleeping together months after, that too wasn't enough to fix things. Atlanta Public Schools approves new $1.3 billion budget, will cut 135 positions
Atlanta Public Schools announced its fiscal year 2026 budget was approved, and more than 100 positions would be cut. According to APS, the new budget is going 'back to basics,' while addressing 'the district's current financial deficit.' As part of the new budget plan, APS will eliminate what it calls redundancies in an effort to address financial needs of the district, while also prioritizing its commitments to teachers, literacy and safety needs. Atlanta Board of Education members approved the budget on Monday evening, according to officials. 'As we embark on this budget cycle, our unwavering commitment is to ensure our children are poised to thrive in the years ahead,' Dr. Bryan Johnson, Superintendent of Atlanta Public Schools, said in a statement. 'This budget reflects a focused and deliberate approach, leaning into what's working and strategically abandoning what's not. We are maximizing resources in ways that directly propel our students forward, while simultaneously being diligent stewards of taxpayer dollars.' Man already in jail charged in Atlanta double shooting that left 1 dead
Atlanta police have charged a man who was already in the Clayton County jail with murder and armed robbery. Police say Desmond Felts, 24, was in custody in Clayton County, but has since been extradited to Fulton County in connection with the deadly shooting of a 33-year-old man. Felts is charged with murder, two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of armed robbery.
