‘Junaid's not a regular Hindi film hero': Aamir Khan reveals his son's weaknesses; honestly reviews Loveyapa, Maharaj
What sets Aamir Khan's children apart from other star kids is how they have been away from the limelight for a very long time. So when Aamir's son Junaid Khan began his acting journey in Bollywood with Maharaj in 2024, the intrigue amongst fans was pretty high. Thankfully, Junaid passed his debut test with flying colours, delivering an impactful performance. Sadly, his second release Loveyapa with Khushi Kapoor left audiences divided, some deeply impressed and others quite disappointed. Well, Junaid's star father aka Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan has now honestly reviewed his performances so far. A post shared by Junaid Khan Fan Official (@ In a recent chat with News 18, Aamir Khan defended his son Junaid Khan and his acting skills. Aamir was quoted saying, 'I think he's a pretty good actor. I'm really proud of the fact that he's done his job really well in both films. When I saw Maharaj, I felt I was watching Karsan. That sincerity and innocence he brought to the role was really beautiful. His second film, he plays a very Harami character. That's not his personality at all, but even that he pulled off really well.' Up next, Junaid has a love story in his line up titled Ek Din, opposite Sai Pallavi. A post shared by Phantom Studios (@fuhsephantom) During his chat, Aamir also opened up about Junaid's weaknesses. He explained, 'He doesn't know how to give interviews. He's too sincere, sometimes says the wrong thing, and people misunderstand him. He's not your regular Hindi film hero. He can't dance to save his life!' Aamir concluded that while success has not reached Junaid the way he deserves it, he's a fighter and his father has full confidence in him. While Junaid is now gearing up for his next, Aamir is all set to return to theatres after Laal Singh Chaddha (2022) with Sitaare Zameen Par, alongside the beautiful Genelia Deshmukh.

Aamir Khan reveals he discouraged son Junaid Khan from learning acting; reviews Loveyapa and its failure
When an actor's child begins their journey in the film industry, they are often subjected to trolling. Those who can act manage to make a place for themselves in the land of cinema whereas others continue to be called 'products of nepotism'. But the case was quite different for Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan, who began his acting career in 2024. With his debut film Maharaj, Junaid initially impressed one and all, leaving many lauding his acting chops and impactful performance. However, later the star kid was brutally trolled when his second film Loveyapa, opposite Sridevi's younger daughter Khushi Kapoor, arrived in theatres. Well, Aamir has now reviewed Junaid's work, Loveyapa and the trolling it faced. A post shared by Phantom Studios (@fuhsephantom) In a chat with Raj Shamani on his podcast, Aamir Khan explained, 'When Loveyapa released, I really liked the film and thought Junaid had done a good job. The role he played was quite different from his real personality. Junaid has this quality — he transforms into the character. I think uss film ko bohot negative backlash aaya. It was heavily trolled, nepotism mein bohot chali gayi ki yeh nepo kids hai (I think the film received a lot of negative backlash. It was heavily trolled and got dragged into the nepotism debate, labelled as a 'nepo kid' film). But Junaid and I are not like that. Until now, I've not interfered in his career, nor do I want to. In fact, I discouraged him from formally learning acting.' A post shared by Zee Music Company (@zeemusiccompany) Aamir went on to share that he was earlier affected by the success and failure of his films, but lately he has been more concerned about Junaid's career. Aamir stated, 'I want him to succeed, to be happy, and to get the recognition he deserves for the work he's doing. As a father, that's a very strong emotion.' After Maharaj and Loveyapa, Junaid is now busy gearing up for his third film. Titled Ek Din, the upcoming project backed by Aamir also stars Sai Pallavi. We wish Junaid all the best!
