N.S. artist creates world-map inspired masterpieces
Phillip Bailey has been making masterpieces for years, but he isn't your average artist.
During his near 30-year career working in government, Bailey would find himself falling deeper in love with artistry.

He remains passionate about sharing his artwork, that can sometimes take three to four months to complete.
'My favorite thing is the detail. I love the detail,' he says.
'And I love trying to trick people into what they're looking at. I want you to look at it, but not quite get it. I think of artists like Da Vinci and stuff that he would do.'

His work doesn't just offer people a geography lesson, but a history lesson too.
Some of his pieces are tributes to his African Nova Scotian Roots.
'I'm African Nova Scotian. I'm of African heritage. That's something I wanted to do. It's very important for identity,' says Bailey.
