Phoenix secure Vlok
The Wellington Phoenix have secured one of New Zealand's top young players from the country's leading amateur women's football club.
The Phoenix have signed Auckland United forward Pia Vlok on a three-year contract, the first two of which are on scholarship terms.
Vlok, 16, helped Auckland United win a remarkable four trophies last year and was named player of the match in the National League final.
She was also named the best player at the Oceania under-16 tournament in Fiji and went on to represent New Zealand at the Fifa Under-17 Women's World Cup in the Dominican Republic. — Allied Media
