Demi Moore told 'this is not ok' as she divides fans after rescuing ducklings
Oscar nominated actress Demi Moore was slammed by some fans for how she interacted with the three baby ducks she rescued, amid concern for the welfare of the animals Actress Demi Moore has divided fans after revealing she has rescued three baby ducks. The 62-year-old animal lover, who is said to have nine pet dogs, took to Instagram to share a cute snap with the ducklings. Tucking the baby mallards into her jacket, a smiling Demi shared they had already made friends with her Chihuahua Pilaf, who she often shares photos of. Her daughters and granddaughter were also spotted getting to know the ducklings in a series of pics posted to her social media account. The Substance star captioned the post: "Duck, duck… Pilaf! We rescued three orphaned baby mallard ducklings! With the help and guidance of my local vet we are working to nurture them until they are old enough to be reintroduced to their natural habitat. It has been a messy joy, but Pilaf is loving her new friends." Though some of her celebrity followers like Paris Hilton and Jennifer Garner commented with heart emojis and Tom Hanks wife Rita Wilson wrote "Oh my goodness! How sweet is this?" - not everybody agreed with it. READ MORE: Demi Moore and Bruce Willis' daughter Rumer, 36, defends taking baths with her sisters One follower wrote: "This is not ok. Wild mallards should be rehabbed by wildlife rehabber. Her vet should have known that. Sorry.. cute but imprinted…" Agreeing, another replied: "Correct. Handling these ducks is not a good rehab practice. They should NEVER be subjected to all that handling." A third person commented: "Yeah this is messed up, these ducks need to go to a wildlife rehab." A fourth said: "Just because a celebrity thinks its cute doesn't make it right." While a fifth asked: "What happened to mom! If they imprint to you - there is no way you should release them. That will work against them in the wild as they follow humans around. Talk to a wildlife rehab facility." But others leapt to Demi's defence, with one writing: "Those ducks will most likely live because of her. And all you can do is b***h and complain. Get a life and follow someone else." Another chimed in: "What if a rehab person is actually filming this before taking them away….what if this is being filmed at rehab facility….what if….. I would give a person benefit of doubt before criticizing [sic] or attacking them. Three little ducklings following a person. That is all that you can say with certainty." The Mirror has reached out to Demi's reps for further comment on this story. Demi is known for her love of animals and is often spotted with what seems to be her favourite dog Pilaf. The pint-sized pooch - said to be a similar size to a guinea pig - even accompanied her famous owner to a recent awards ceremony. Pilaf was seen walking the red carpet with Demi at the Film Independent Spirit Awards back in February. Movie star Demi has joked Pilaf's fame is now so big it's eclipsed her own. She said: "The truth is, I am her accessory." She has also appeared on Jimmy Fallon's chat show with Demi. Introducing Pilaf to the audience, Demi shared: "This is Pilaf, the little mouse. She is a pound and a half. She's the runt of her litter. She's a magical creature." Jimmy replied: "She is. I met her backstage and her tongue permanently hangs out." Demi replied: "It does. She lost the teeth that hold it in, but it's part of her charm. Demi admitted she also sleeps with her dogs - and that might be why she's currently single. She shared: "If anybody saw my nighttime routine, if it was filmed, they would really see how eccentric I am. "I have to prop pillows so the ones that are this size have the ability to get under the covers. I have two beds for the little ones so that they have the beds within the bed. Hence why I'm single!"

Demi Moore divides followers after rescuing orphaned ducklings
has three new furry family members - adorable orphaned ducklings. The actress, 62, has rescued baby mallards and is now caring for them with the assistance of her local veterinarian until they are ready to return to the wild. 'Duck, duck... Pilaf!' Demi announced to her followers as she introduced her feathered friends last week. 'We rescued three orphaned baby mallard ducklings! With the help and guidance of my local vet we are working to nurture them until they are old enough to be reintroduced to their natural habitat. It has been a messy joy, but Pilaf is loving her new friends.' The post included an array of photos of the tiny siblings with Demi, including two of the babies hanging out with her ever-present dog Pilaf. The three ducklings have clearly bonded with Demi, as they were even seen lining up and dutifully following her about. While the majority of the comments were positive, a few were critical of Demi's decision to take in the animals, insisting they should be cared for by a professional. has contacted representatives for Demi for comment about the criticism but did not immediately hear back. The ducklings sparked quite a debate amongst a few commenters who were angered by Demi taking in the babies. 'This is not ok . Wild mallards should be rehabbed by wildlife rehabber. Her vet should have known that. Sorry.. cute but imprinted,' one posted. 'Exactly,' another replied in agreement. 'Not a good practice. They won't be successful as wild ducks.' Another said: 'Yeah this is messed up, these ducks need to go to a wildlife rehab.' A Demi defended stepped in: 'Easy tiger, we don't know the exact story, just a few pics...' 'not much more of that story.. its simple these are now imprinted ducks. Just because a celebrity thinks its cute doesn't make it right and like i said her vet should have known better. Find a licensed rehabber end of story.' 'What happened to mom! If they imprint to you- there is no way you should release them. That will work against them in the wild as they follow humans around and then fish and wildlife unalives them for that very reason. Talk to a wildlife rehab facility,' another said. The majority of the comments, however, were positive and besotted by the sight of the tiny ducks. Paris Hilton dropped a heart-eyes emoji to the comments section, while Jennifer Garner shared a few sweet emojis as well. Tom Hanks' wife Rita Wilson gushed, 'Oh my goodness! How sweet is this?' The post also showed her daughter Tallulah getting to know the ducks and her granddaughter Louetta fawning over one in her lap. The ducklings aren't the only animals in Demi's life, as the actress famously has an ever-present companion - her tiny fluffy chihuahua Pilaf. 'The truth is, I am her accessory,' Demi gushed to American TV host Stephen Colbert on The Late Show earlier this year. A few fans defended her from the criticism She explained how she tried to secure her treasured pup a Guinness World Record for her minuscule stature. 'We looked into this because she literally is the size of a guinea pig,' the actress said. Sadly, Pilaf's legs were too long. On top of her fur babies, she also has three children with her ex-husband Bruce Willis - daughters Rumer, 36, Tallulah, 31, and Scout, 33. Demi and Bruce became grandparents in 2023 after Rumer welcomed her first child, daughter Louetta, with her now ex-boyfriend Derek Richard Thomas.

People Are Split On Chloe Fineman's Awkward Story About Greeting Demi Moore In A Restaurant
Chloe Fineman shared the awkward interaction she says ensued after she tried to say hello to Demi Moore at a restaurant. The SNL star recently went on her TikTok, along with her sister, to say that they'd had "the best day of our lives" in New York — before they tried to find somewhere to eat around Madison Avenue, which Chloe referred to as somewhat of a "food desert." The pair said they settled on an Italian restaurant, where she was apparently told "right this way" by a server. "I walk into a room, there's several empty tables, and I sit down, and then I look up, and it's Pilaf, little mouse, the celebrity dog of Demi Moore. And I see Demi Moore," Chloe explained. "I was like, 'Oh, hi.' We've met once or twice, and I've held Pilaf because Pilaf was backstage at an SNL show," she continued. "And then she fully said, 'hi' back." "And then the manager sees me," Chloe said. "I had no makeup on. Did I not look legitimate enough for this empty room...? And the guy's like, 'What are you doing here? Ma'am, come, come, come with me now.'" Despite there being a "thousand empty tables," the sisters said the manager told them that they did not have a reservation (after telling another table that they couldn't switch their reservation from indoors to outdoors, despite the apparent abundance of seats). She continued, "I was like, 'Okay. Calm down. I'm not nobody. I'm on SNL." According to a cursory look, the restaurant, in theory, does accept limited walk-ins. According to Chloe, the manager told her, "I don't care who you are, I treat everybody the same. You have to talk to me first." They then apparently called one another "rude," before, in Chloe's words, "Let's just say, a personality of mine started to come up that I don't love. You could call it a Karen. I also call it living in New York and everyone is rude as fuck. Literally, all I did was say hi to Pilaf, little mouse." DJ Samantha Ronson then hopped into the comments to say that she was there with Demi when the whole thing went down, and that they were "so confused and horrified." Chloe Fineman / Via

Demi Moore showcases age-defying figure after detailing how she 'tortured' her body at the height of her fame
Demi Moore looked as youthful as ever when she was seen emerging in New York City on Wednesday. The 62-year-old star of The Substance — who said it 'would be nice' to have another shot at an Oscar at the Time100 summit the same day — looked chic and vivacious in a gray sport coat and matching dress as she was mobbed by excited fans in Manhattan. She was out with her adorable Chihuahua Pilaf just a day after People declared her its Most Beautiful Person with the cover of its annual issue. In her cover story, Demi admitted that, when she was at the height of her fame and box-office profitability, she would 'torture' herself with extreme diet's and back-breaking workouts in hopes of maintaining her perfect, svelte figure. Although she had outgrown much of that unhealthy obsession with her appearance, the ex-wife of Bruce Willis still looked stunning and vital. She cut a chic figure in her monochrome ensemble, which featured a classic three-button design with the top button rolled under her lapel. She wore the jacket over a long gray dress that reached down to her ankles but featured a high slit to showcase her fit legs. She added a burst of color to the look with the lining of her skirt, which featured red, white and blue stripes, and she added a cool touch with red-tinted sunglasses. Demi wore her long raven locks styled pin straight and parted down the middle, and she added a sweet touch with her minuscule dog Pilaf, who panted with his tiny tongue out while cradled like a baby in a black sling around the actress' torso. She completed her ensemble with pointy-toed black pumps and an Apple Watch with a gray band to match her outfit. At the Time100 summit, Demi had removed her jacket to reveal a striking sleeveless dress, as well as an unusual sash draped from one shoulder that featured the lapels and collar of a suit jacket for an intriguing touch. While speaking to People for it's May 5 issue, Demi admitted that she did 'crazy things [with] diet and exercise' to maintain her slim frame when she was starring in films in the mid-1990s. She added that she would go 'biking from Malibu and going all the way to Paramount,' a ride that she recalled being 'about 26 miles' in total. 'All because I had placed so much value on what my outsides looked like,' she mused. But today she has a healthier focus on her 'overall health and well-being,' rather than on superficial appearances. 'It's much more about longevity and quality of life. And I think I've evolved into greater gentility towards myself,' she said. At the height of her career, Demi had to go through wild exercise and diet swings for her projects. After having to show off her most chiseled look in 1996's Striptease, in which she played a fired FBI secretary who turns to stripping to make ends meet, she then had to reverse course and bulk up to play a woman undergoing special operations training in Ridley Scott's G.I. Jane. Demi said the training regimen she went through for the latter film made her feel 'so harsh' and 'antagonistic' toward her body. ' I was really just punishing myself,' she admitted. 'And in this desire to dominate it versus now, I have a much more kind of intuitive, relaxed, trusting relationship with my body.' After production ended on G.I. Jane, the actress had an epiphany. Though she was 'bigger' and more 'muscular' than ever before after months of intense exercise, she didn't want to 'wear that' body any more, even though she had had an 'incredible experience' making the film.' Instead, she realized, 'I wanted to just have that within me. And I think I was exhausted from putting [my body] through so much over such a long period of time.' From then on she 'really let go,' and stopped obsession over what she ate. Demi said she 'had a moment of surrender where I just let go and really understood what it meant to be in acceptance of my body as it is, even though it's not the body I wanted.' The Disclosure actress wasn't even sure what her 'natural size' was at that point, as so much had changed with three rapid-fire pregnancies and her intense diets and workouts. 'So I just let go,' she said.
