Discussion of the censure of Trustee Bob Wilson as requested by Trustee Tim Boal. According to the proposed resolution, Wilson attempted to file six ordinance violation complaints with the township ordinance officer in February "in secret." Some of the residents 'appear to have been targeted by him at random,' according to the resolution, and one was a neighbor who 'had previously spoken out against (Wilson's) abhorrent past behavior.' The resolution also outlines planning commission meetings in February in which Wilson accused commissioners of 'being rogue as hell' and 'dictators.' The resolution also alleges Wilson has made threats, including death threats, to trustees and staff, which 'has resulted in numerous law enforcement complaints and the necessity of having an armed law enforcement officer present for township board meetings for safety reasons' at 'considerable expense to the township.' Wilson is accused of violating the municipality's ethics policy. If the resolution is approved, the board expects Wilson 'to refrain from conduct that disrupts the business of Howell Township, violates ethics policy, or erodes the trust of the public."
