USA TODAY, Storyful The Peach Milkshake is returning to Chick-fil-A. The chicken chain announced Thursday, May 29, that the popular seasonal dessert will be available nationwide beginning Monday, June 9. The chain also announced it's introducing a new Peach Frosted Lemonade, offering a "fresh twist on the much-loved flavor." Both drinks will be available for a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide, while supplies last, the company said in a news release. Celebrating its 16th year as a seasonal treat at Chick-fil-A, the Peach Milkshake features Chick-fil-A Icedream and peaches, topped with whipped cream and a cherry. The Peach Frosted Lemonade, on the other hand, combines Chick-fil-A Lemonade or Diet Lemonade and Icedream mixed with peaches, according to the chain. 'There's something about the Peach Milkshake that really feels like the start of summer, and for 16 years our Guests have expected– and anticipated – its return,' said Allison Duncan, director of menu and packaging at Chick-fil-A, in a news release. "As we continue to surprise and delight our Guests with new and unique flavors throughout the year, we wanted to offer a spin on the peach taste everyone knows and loves with the Peach Frosted Lemonade." Pineapple Dragonfruit beverages will stick around a little longer In addition to the peach beverages, Chick-fil-A also announced its Pineapple Dragonfruit seasonal beverages will stick around a little longer. Originally introduced as part of the spring menu, the drink lineup will be available through August 16, while supplies last, according to the chain. The lineup features four beverages, including: Pineapple Dragonfruit Frosted Lemonade: Combines Chick-fil-A lemonade or diet lemonade and Chick-fil-A's signature IceDream dessert with natural pineapple and dragonfruit flavors. Third Morris County Chick-fil-A to open as new Route 10 Whippany shopping center fills out
HANOVER — A popular fast-food chain will join a big-box retailer on Route 10 this week as the long-awaited redevelopment of an old Route 10 retail property continues in Whippany. Chick-fil-A will open its third Morris County location on Thursday at the new Hanover Towne Center. BJ's Wholesale debuted there last month. The stores are occupying the site of the former Pine Plaza. Once anchored by a Foodtown grocery store, that shopping center closed in 2020 and was demolished in 2021. Additional plans for the 23-acre site include 60 townhomes and three more available spaces likely to be filled by restaurants or shops. Franchise owner Drew Blind is hoping for the same success in Whippany as he saw in 2019, when he opened Morris County's first Chick-fil-A a few miles west on Route 10 in Morris Plains. The chain's second Morris County outpost arrived last year in Parsippany. "I was born and raised in East Hanover and graduated from Hanover Park High School," Blind said at the Morris Plains opening. "This is honestly a life dream: get to serve the community and bring Chick-fil-A to Morris County." Offering new menu items including the return of the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich and a new Pineapple Dragonfruit seasonal beverage, the Whippany restaurant will celebrate its grand opening at 6:30 a.m. Regular hours going forward are 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. for dining in or carryout. The restaurant's drive-through window will remain open until 10 p.m. The family-owned company also is known for closing on Sundays due to Christian religious observances. It has also drawn criticism for its history of financial support for opponents of same-sex marriage and other LGTB causes. Amazon Fresh: Morris County mall slated for NJ's next Amazon Fresh. Here's what we know With the opening - and the approximately 100 jobs it creates - comes a $25,000 donation from the corporation to support the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. The Whippany franchise also will participate in the in the Chick-fil-AShared Table program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits. In addition, the franchise will recognize "100 local heroes making an impact in the Whippany community by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year," the company said in a news release announcing the opening. Chick-fil-A is sending out warm vibes as spring nears, announcing Thursday a vibrant new seasonal menu that brings back a fan-favorite sandwich, and a lineup of sweet drinks. The fast-food company will roll out their new menu in March, including the return of a popular sandwich with three customized options and the debut of fruit-infused spring sips. The limited-time offerings pair sweet and smoky, which are reminiscent of "longer, brighter days and time spent outside," the fast casual chain said in a release. Here's what is on Chick-fil-A's new spring menu, when you can get them and where to find a location near you. Chick-fil-A is returning the fan-favorite Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich, with a new twist this go-around, offering hungry customers three filet options — original, spicy and classic grilled. The chicken is paired with bacon that is tossed in a blend of brown sugar and black pepper, topped with Colby Jack cheese, lettuce and a smoke BBQ sauce, all served on a toasted sweet yeast bun, the chain said. The chain also revealed Pineapple Dragonfruit beverages, which come in four varieties that infuses pineapple with a "unique, tropical dragonfruit twist," the company said.
