Denver weather: Pinpoint Weather Alert Day with severe afternoon, evening storms
DENVER (KDVR) – Temperatures along the Front Range will be milder Wednesday, but strong storms are possible in the afternoon and early evening hours.
Weather today: Scattered storms
With a slight risk for severe storms along I-25, Wednesday will be a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day. Storms will build in the mountains near noon, pushing to the metro in the afternoon and then the plains by the evening hours. Severe risks include large hail, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado.

Highs will be mild and even below average, only reaching the middle 80s. Denver will also see partly cloudy skies through the afternoon.
Weather tonight: Mainly cloudy skies
There could be a lingering storm into the evening hours, especially along the plains. Clouds will hang around tonight, giving the area cloudy skies with a light wind. Overnight lows will be close to seasonal averages in the lower 60s.
Looking ahead: Slow warming, more storms
The mild highs in the middle 80s are still here on Thursday with chances for an afternoon thunderstorm and partly cloudy skies. Friday will return Denver to seasonal averages in the lower 90s with more sunshine.

Saturday kicks off the weekend with spotty storm chances and highs in the upper 80s. Sunday is a few degrees warmer with low 90s for highs and small storm chances.
Monday starts off the next workweek with lower 90s and partly cloudy skies. Tuesday has a mix of sun and clouds with hot highs in the middle 90s.
