But the announcement of the award winners didn't go down too well when Gers eventually posted on X, formerly Twitter. One fan said: "Purely an embarrassment (bar youth and women's) that this has been held tonight." A second commented: "In what world did they think 'aye, this will be sound?'" Another replied: "You should have kept all this in house, embarrassing." The players have been similarly unwilling to speak out since the event last night. But now Nicolas Raskin, who scooped both the Player of the Year and Player's Player of the Year prizes, has broken his silence with a post on Instagram. Raskin said: "Winning both the 'Player of the Year' and 'Players' Player of the Year' awards honestly means the world to me, especially at a club like Rangers. "I want to sincerely thank my teammates for their support and trust, the physical, technical and medical staff for helping me and the fans for all the love and unbelievable backing all season long. "It really means a lot to feel that appreciation from both the dressing room and the stands."
