Tatsugiri, the sushi-inspired Dragon/Water-type Pokémon from the Paldea region, has officially arrived in Pokémon GO as part of the Water Festival 2025. Known for its unique appearance and three distinctive forms—Curly, Droopy, and Stretchy—Tatsugiri is now available in one-star raids worldwide for a limited time. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Whether you're looking to solo raids or collect all regional variants, here's your complete guide to everything Tatsugiri during this exciting event. How to Beat Tatsugiri in Pokemon GO 1-star raids All forms of Tatsugiri (Image via The Pokemon Company) - Type: Water/Dragon - Max CP: 3,105 (3,142 with Best Buddy boost) - Weaknesses: Dragon and Fairy-type attacks (takes 1.6× damage) - Resistances: Fire, Water, Steel (avoid these types) - Weather Boosts: Windy and Rain Despite being a one-star raid, Tatsugiri is best handled using type-effective strategies to ensure a swift solo victory. Best Dragon-Type Counters for Tatsugiri - Mega Rayquaza: Dragon Tail + Outrage - Mega Garchomp: Dragon Tail + Outrage - Shadow Palkia: Dragon Tail + Draco Meteor - Shadow Salamence: Dragon Tail + Draco Meteor - Palkia (Origin Forme): Dragon Tail + Draco Meteor - Mega Salamence: Dragon Tail + Draco Meteor Best Fairy-Type Counters for Tatsugiri - Togekiss: Charm + Dazzling Gleam - Gardevoir: Charm + Moonblast - Xerneas: Tackle + Moonblast Tatsugiri raids can be challenged by up to 20 trainers simultaneously, but you only need one player with moderately powerful counters to take down the creature. Tatsugiri Moveset in Pokemon GO - Fast Moves: Water Gun, Take Down - Charged Moves: Outrage (highly effective), plus other Water and Dragon-type moves How does Tatsugiri Perform in Pokemon GO Battles - Evolution: Tatsugiri does not evolve - Battle Role: It's more of a novelty than a raid meta staple - Stats Breakdown: High Special Attack, moderate Speed and HP, but lacks strong Defense While not a must-have for competitive play, its unique typing and vibrant forms make it a favorite for Pokédex collectors. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Fun Tatsugiri Trivia In the mainline games, Tatsugiri is part of a strategic combo with Dondozo via the Commander ability—unfortunately, this synergy isn't present in Pokémon GO. Each form represents a different personality: - Curly (Orange): Playful - Droopy (Pink): Sleepy - Stretchy (Yellow): Energetic Also read: Tatsugiri is one of the quirkiest additions to Pokémon GO in 2025. Whether you're chasing all forms, soloing for XP, or completing your regional Pokédex, this is a must-raid event during the Water Festival. Don't forget—no shiny yet, so there's still time to prepare before its glittering debut down the line!

How to get Shiny Hisuian Lilligant in Pokémon GO?

(Image via Niantic) Shiny Hisuian Lilligant is finally here in Pokémon GO, and it's not your usual wild spawn. This special Grass/Fighting-type variant is making its debut through a timed event, and catching one won't be a walk in the park. But if you've got the strategy and stamina, you just might score this sparkly prize. When and Where to Find Shiny Hisuian Lilligant Here's when it's happening: Date : Saturday, July 12, 2025 Time : 2 PM to 5 PM (Local Time) Hisuian Lilligant will appear in 3-Star Raids during this limited Raid Day event. This is the only time Shiny Hisuian Lilligant will be available (at least for now), so make every minute count. Don't MISS This 1/10 Shiny Event! Can You Catch a Shiny Hisuian Lilligant? Yes, Shiny Hisuian Lilligant is live and catchable, but it's not guaranteed. You'll first need to beat the Raid Boss to earn a standard Hisuian Lilligant encounter. After that, it's down to RNG. Some players might get lucky on their first win, others may need to grind through 10+ raids. The more raids you do, the better your chances of seeing sparkles. Raid Strategy: Beat It To Catch It Don't waste time losing raids. Hisuian Lilligant is a Grass/Fighting-type, meaning it's weak to: Flying (super effective) Fire Fairy Psychic Ice Poison Bring your best Flying-types for a fast takedown. Best Pokémon to Use in the Raid Here's a quick top-tier counter list: Mega Rayquaza – Air Slash + Dragon Ascent Shadow Staraptor – Wing Attack + Brave Bird Mega Pidgeot – Gust + Brave Bird Shadow Honchkrow – Peck + Sky Attack Talonflame – Incinerate + Brave Bird Focus on Flying-types with STAB (Same Type Attack Bonus) to crush this Raid quickly and get more attempts in the time window. THIS IS GOING TO BE FUN!! Hisuian Lilligant Raid Day is Coming to Pokémon GO! Should You Buy the Event Ticket? The optional paid ticket offers bonuses like up to 5 extra Raid Passes, increased shiny odds, and more item rewards. If you're serious about catching Shiny Hisuian Lilligant, this will speed up your raid volume and boost your odds. It's not essential—but it helps. Post-Raid Tips: What Happens After You Win After you beat the Raid Boss, you'll encounter Hisuian Lilligant for a catch opportunity. If it's shiny, you'll know instantly. If not? Don't waste time sulking. Jump to the next Raid and repeat. You only have a 3-hour window, so optimize your travel route and stack free or premium raid passes in advance. Shiny Hisuian Lilligant is a one-day wonder (for now), and these raid events don't come often. If you're aiming to flex a floral Shiny in your lineup, July 12 is the day to hustle. Prep your party, stock your raid passes, and hit every Gym you see. For real-time updates, scores, and highlights, follow our live coverage of the India vs England Test match here. How to complete Ultra Unlock Hisui Celebration Field Research tasks in Pokemon GO

Image via: Niantic Ultra Unlock: Hisui Celebration is live from July 8 to 13 in Pokémon GO, giving trainers a thrilling opportunity to step into the ancient world of Hisui. This post-Go Fest event combines potent bonuses, rare Pokémon, and limited-time Field Research that set players off on Stardust, XP, and unique encounters, some of which include shiny forms. Here's the guide on how to get the most out of your Field Research tasks during this time-limited occasion. Prioritize Catch-Based Tasks for Fast Rewards Most of the Field Research tasks revolve around catching Pokémon, making this an ideal event to play on foot or with Incense active. Here they are laid out: Catch 5 Pokémon: One of the easiest tasks that give either 500 XP or 1000 Stardust, both great commodities to either level up or power your Pokémon. Catch 10 Pokémon: This task will reward you with encounter opportunities with Hisuian Voltorb or Hisuian Qwilfish, both of which have their shiny forms available during the event. These Pokémon are fairly hard to come across outside of the events, so it is worth chasing after these. Catch 20 Pokémon: This harder task leads to a chance to encounter either Hisuian Growlithe or Hisuian Sneasel. To blaze through the tasks, try to work during the Space-Time Distortion, which increases spawns. Use Pinap Berries for double candy, and stack your tasks to do multiple ones at the same time. Hisui Celebration Ultra Unlock with 4x Stardust Boost - Pokemon GO Check the Routes for Rare Sightings Unique to the Hisui Celebration is the Follow-a-Route Field Research task. While Routes are often ignored, this task rewards you with a White-Striped Basculin, a form that is exclusive to regions, but which now is available globally with a shiny chance. Use the Nearby tab in-game to spot active Routes near you, or head to a park or whichever landmark where Routes are more common. Even if it is not your assigned task, following a Route triggers bonus spawns and extra XP. Keep Your Eyes On Hisuian Zorua in Disguise While not directly tied into Field Research, one of the biggest Pesos of this event is the debut of Hisuian Zorua and its evolution Hisuian Zoroark. It appears in a disguise of sorts, where it masquerades as your Buddy Pokémon, so stay alert if you spot your buddy appearing in the wild. Catch it, and there will be a chance that Zorua is in disguise! Tips and Tricks Spin as many PokéStops as possible to get different Field Research tasks. Throw out any tasks that you do not want, especially if you are engaging in shiny hunting or Stardust farming. Stack rewards, XP in particular, with Lucky Eggs or Star Pieces for maximum value. Play in areas with high PokéStop density so you can collect research tasks in succession. HISUI CELEBRATION EVENT TIPS & TRICKS in Pokémon GO! (2025) | July 8 - 13 | Ultra Unlock Part 1 Ultra Unlock Hisui Celebration is more than an event, it is a short springtime to catch the most exciting regional forms, perform rewarding research, and earn XP and Stardust. This weeklong opportunity to explore the past, one Poké Ball at a time, is not one to be missed, whether you are shiny hunting, grinding XP, or just trying to complete your Hisuian Pokédex.
