New Rochelle man pistol-whipped, robbed of $75,000 in jewelry
A New Rochelle man was pistol-whipped and robbed of $75,000 worth of jewelry by two masked gunmen in a home invasion, city police said.
The attack occurred at about 1:25 a.m., Saturday, July 12, on Kewanee Road, a residential block in the northern section of the city, off Stratton Road near the Hutchinson River Parkway.
The 25-year-old victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police Capt. J. Collins Coyne said it was believed that the homeowner was targeted when he arrived home that morning.
