Mock drill conducted at Chittoor railway station
A mock drill was conducted at the Chittoor railway station to check the preparedness of the police to deal with any possible terror attack, on Thursday. The drill also provided an insight into how the general public should safeguard themselves in such a situation.
The drill was conducted as per the instructions of the Union Home Ministry following the heightened tensions with neighbouring Pakistan after 'Operation Sindoor'. On the instructions of Superintendent of Police (SP) V.N. Manikanta Chandolu, the Police and Fire Services personnel, Railway, Railway Police, Health and other department officials participated in the drill.
The public was made aware of the response to any terror attack, at a public place or a railway station, and to protect themselves in such situations.
