Carrie Johnson shares adorable family photo of new baby Poppy with her older siblings - just days after she and former PM Boris welcomed their fourth child together
Boris Johnson 's wife Carrie has shared an adorable photo of new daughter Poppy getting acquainted with her siblings - days after revealing the surprise birth. Poppy - full name Poppy Eliza Josephine Johnson - was born on May 21, the fourth baby the couple have had together, following a largely secret pregnancy. Mrs Johnson has said the baby girl - already nicknamed 'Pop Tart' - will be the final child she has with the former Conservative Prime Minister, and that the pair are 'smitten' with her. Days after announcing the birth, she has shared a new photo of Poppy cuddled up with her siblings Romy, three, Wilfred, five, and Frank, who will be two in July. In the picture - soundtracked to jaunty music on Mrs Johnson's Instagram Stories - Poppy is cuddled up in Romy's lap, as the three-year-old wraps her arms around her protectively. Sitting either side on a striped red and white sofa, Frank and Wilfred look on at their new baby sister. The wife of the ex-PM also shared other images that suggest the family is taking full advantage of Bank Holiday Monday. Her Stories also feature an image of a glass of Aperol Spritz, captioned 'Never tasted better', and a photo of a selection of burgers, steaks, skewers and corn cobs being turned on a grill on a sunny patio. Mrs Johnson stunned followers with the surprise announcement of Poppy's birth on Saturday May 24 - three days after she arrived into the world - with a montage of Instagram photos. Among the pictures was a selfie with Poppy, a picture of doting new dad Mr Johnson, and an image of Romy - whom she said had been 'desperate for a little sister' - with her new sibling. Announcing the birth on Instagram, Mrs Johnson said 'I can't believe how pretty and tiny you are. Feel so incredibly lucky. We are all totally smitten. She added: 'Not sure I've slept a minute since you were born as can't stop looking at how completely lovely you are.' Friends of the couple said they left the sex of the baby a surprise, and had been expecting a boy. In the main announcement picture the baby is wearing a yellow babygrow and knitted jumper, chosen because the couple did not know whether she would be a boy or a girl. Mrs Johnson also kept the pregnancy largely a secret. She gave birth in UCLH and thanked the 'amazing' maternity team in her social media post. Announcing the baby name, Mrs Johnson wrote her nicknames are 'Pops, Pop Tart'. Her middle name Josephine was chosen after Carrie's mother. She also suggested the baby would be the final one for her family, writing: 'A final gang member.' Poppy's birth comes after Mrs Johnson was hospitalised with pneumonia for nearly a week in January this year. Posting at the time Mrs Johnson wrote: 'Hospital confirmed I had flu and pneumonia. I was there nearly a week and I'm still not recovered. 'It could take another few weeks until I feel like myself again. 'I didn't expect to spend the first week of 2025 in hospital. After having a nasty chest infection for nearly 18 days at home over Christmas, it just got out of hand and I was struggling to breathe properly.' Mr and Mrs Johnson announced their engagement in February 2020 and welcomed their first child, Wilfred, on April 29 that year. Mrs Johnson described Romy as their 'rainbow baby' following her miscarriage a year before she was born. Carrie Johnson has announced the birth of her fourth child with the former Tory leader. The 37-year-old revealed her new daughter was called Poppy Eliza Josephine Johnson in a post on Instagram. Poppy Eliza is Boris Johnson's ninth child. He has four children with his second ex-wife Marina Johnson, one from an affair with a property developer in 2009 and now four with his third wife Carrie. Couple accused of sexually abusing teenager, forcing her to take drugs and feeding her ‘one Pop Tart a week'
An Arkansas couple has been accused of the long-term abuse of a teenage girl, where she was allegedly repeatedly raped and beaten, surviving on one Pop Tart a week. Daniel and Annie Caler of Benton County were arrested on May 9 after the victim came forward to confide in her school counselor in April following years of alleged abuse. She told police that the couple forced her to take drugs, sleep in the bath without a blanket or pillow and only provided her with one glass of water per week. The relationship between the Calers and the victim was not immediately clear. Daniel Caler, 34, is accused of raping the victim for three years between August 2020 and March 2023, according to a Bentonville police probable cause affidavit, obtained by KNWA. On one occasion, Annie Caler, 28, walked in on the victim allegedly being raped by Daniel Caler, the affidavit said. Daniel Caler threatened to kill Annie Caler if she reported the rape, according to the affidavit. During an alleged rape in March 2023, Annie Caler intervened and ran outside with the victim. According to the affidavit, this was the last time the victim was raped by Daniel Caler. The victim recalled a violent incident where Annie Caler stabbed her in the neck with a fork because she 'didn't do the dishes correctly,' according to the affidavit. Annie Caler allegedly told the victim afterward: 'I hope you die.' The couple allegedly forced the victim to take a number of drugs over the years, including fentanyl, cocaine, methadone and methamphetamine. The victim told Annie Caler that she did not want to take the drugs, the affidavit said, but was 'forced' to 'snort the drugs at least four times.' Investigators also said that the victim told them about an incident where she broke her leg but the couple refused to take her to the hospital. The victim told police that she finally came forward about the abuse because 'she couldn't live with the guilt thinking it was her fault anymore.' The couple is being held in the Benton County Detention Center. Daniel Caler has been charged with rape, sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a minor, terroristic threatening, and permitting abuse of a minor. Annie Caler has been charged with permitting the abuse of a minor, introduction of a controlled substance into the body of another person, terroristic threatening, battery, and endangering the welfare of a minor.
