Carrie Johnson shares adorable family photo of new baby Poppy with her older siblings - just days after she and former PM Boris welcomed their fourth child together
Boris Johnson 's wife Carrie has shared an adorable photo of new daughter Poppy getting acquainted with her siblings - days after revealing the surprise birth.
Poppy - full name Poppy Eliza Josephine Johnson - was born on May 21, the fourth baby the couple have had together, following a largely secret pregnancy.
Mrs Johnson has said the baby girl - already nicknamed 'Pop Tart' - will be the final child she has with the former Conservative Prime Minister, and that the pair are 'smitten' with her.
Days after announcing the birth, she has shared a new photo of Poppy cuddled up with her siblings Romy, three, Wilfred, five, and Frank, who will be two in July.
In the picture - soundtracked to jaunty music on Mrs Johnson's Instagram Stories - Poppy is cuddled up in Romy's lap, as the three-year-old wraps her arms around her protectively.
Sitting either side on a striped red and white sofa, Frank and Wilfred look on at their new baby sister.
The wife of the ex-PM also shared other images that suggest the family is taking full advantage of Bank Holiday Monday.
Her Stories also feature an image of a glass of Aperol Spritz, captioned 'Never tasted better', and a photo of a selection of burgers, steaks, skewers and corn cobs being turned on a grill on a sunny patio.
Mrs Johnson stunned followers with the surprise announcement of Poppy's birth on Saturday May 24 - three days after she arrived into the world - with a montage of Instagram photos.
Among the pictures was a selfie with Poppy, a picture of doting new dad Mr Johnson, and an image of Romy - whom she said had been 'desperate for a little sister' - with her new sibling.
Announcing the birth on Instagram, Mrs Johnson said 'I can't believe how pretty and tiny you are. Feel so incredibly lucky. We are all totally smitten.
She added: 'Not sure I've slept a minute since you were born as can't stop looking at how completely lovely you are.'
Friends of the couple said they left the sex of the baby a surprise, and had been expecting a boy.
Mrs Johnson wrote 'Wilf, Romy and Frank are utterly delighted, particularly Romy who was desperate for a little sister. Bring on the matching dresses.'
In the main announcement picture the baby is wearing a yellow babygrow and knitted jumper, chosen because the couple did not know whether she would be a boy or a girl.
Mrs Johnson also kept the pregnancy largely a secret. She gave birth in UCLH and thanked the 'amazing' maternity team in her social media post.
Announcing the baby name, Mrs Johnson wrote her nicknames are 'Pops, Pop Tart'. Her middle name Josephine was chosen after Carrie's mother.
She also suggested the baby would be the final one for her family, writing: 'A final gang member.'
Mrs Johnson posted to Instagram on Saturday to announce Poppy's birth alongside a series of pictures and said she is their 'final gang member'
She posted a sweet picture of Romy holding her baby sister, as well as a photograph of Wilfred stroking her head.
Mrs Johnson also posted pictures of a pepperoni pizza and a bottle of Pina Colada cocktail, made by the 'Lockdown Liquor & Co'.
She wrote: 'Back from hospital now and time for cocktails and pizza with my tiny baby snoozing on my lap. Life doesn't get any better.'
Poppy's birth comes after Mrs Johnson was hospitalised with pneumonia for nearly a week in January this year.
Posting at the time Mrs Johnson wrote: 'Hospital confirmed I had flu and pneumonia. I was there nearly a week and I'm still not recovered.
'It could take another few weeks until I feel like myself again.
'I didn't expect to spend the first week of 2025 in hospital. After having a nasty chest infection for nearly 18 days at home over Christmas, it just got out of hand and I was struggling to breathe properly.'
Mr and Mrs Johnson announced their engagement in February 2020 and welcomed their first child, Wilfred, on April 29 that year.
The snaps also showed the Johnsons enjoying cocktails and pizza to celebrate the birth of their newest arrival
Mrs Johnson shared an image holding a bottle of a blended Pina Colada in the series of Instagram pictures
The following year Mrs Johnson gave birth to Romy on December 9, and their second son Frank was born on July 5, 2023.
The Johnsons named Wilfred after Mr Johnson's grandfather. One of his middle names, Lawrie, is after her own grandad and the other, Nicholas, is after a doctor who treated the former MP while he battled Covid at St Thomas' hospital in London.
Their daughter Romy is named after Mrs Johnson's auntie Rosemary. Her middle name Iris is Greek for rainbow and her third name Charlotte was a tribute to Mr Johnson's late mother.
Mrs Johnson described Romy as their 'rainbow baby' following her miscarriage a year before she was born.
After giving birth to Frank, Mrs Johnson said: 'Welcome to the world Frank Alfred Odysseus Johnson born 5th July at 9.15am. (Can you guess which name my husband chose?!)'

Who are Sunderland's most skilful players ever?
Throughout Wednesday, we are revealing who Sunderland legend Marco Gabbiadini believes are the club's most skilful players fifth place, its 1960s and 70s legend Billy Hughes. Hughes was an integral part of the 1973 FA Cup-winning side and Gabbiadini told BBC Radio Newcastle the striker brought a different skillset to other forwards of that time:"People have always talked to me about Billy Hughes. He was involved in a very successful team, and he is just one of those players who fans really engaged with. He was a little bit different - not a big bustling centre forward, which was the norm in his era. "He was wave-like, almost like George Best. "He scored really interesting goals. When you see them, they are really clever and he really used his imagination. For me, that is what defines his skills."Listen on BBC Sounds - and come back later for the rest of the list!

Sam Thompson gives heartbreaking Soccer Aid update after suffering agonising injuries - ahead of planned encounter with ex Zara McDermott's new man Louis Tomlinson
Sam Thompson has given a heartbreaking update on whether he will be able to play in Soccer Aid on Sunday after suffering a string of agonising injuries. The former Made In Chelsea star, 32, suffered a calf injury on the first day of his gruelling 260-mile Soccer Aid challenge for Unicef. And now Sam fears his legs will be the reason he won't be able to take part in the football game - but insisted he is doing everything he can. Updating fans on his Instagram on Tuesday, he wrote: 'Trying to get those legs right for soccer aid!! I WILL play a part [laughing face emoji]' Sam is set for an awkward planned encounter with ex Zara McDermott 's new boyfriend Louis Tomlinson at Soccer Aid. The men will be on the same England team for Unicef - the same charity Sam completed a 260-mile five-day long marathon for on Friday. And while Sam has insisted there are 'no hard feelings', the encounter is bound to sting a little. Sam and former Love Islander Zara, 28, confirmed they had ended their relationship in January after more than five years together. Zara moved on pretty quickly with singer Louis, 33, with the smitten couple appearing inseparable since their romance was made public in March. They have enjoyed a loved-up getaway to Costa Rica together after Louis flew his new flame out to the island first-class. Meanwhile I'm A Celeb winner Sam has moved on with Love Island beauty Samie Eilshi, 25. After their blossoming romance was confirmed when they shared a steamy kiss in Mayfair last month, speculation of a split grew after Samie was noticeably absent from Sam's highly-publicised challenge for Soccer Aid last week. Such rumours have since been squashed however, with their romance reportedly going from strength to strength as they 'love spending time together on their days off', a source close to the couple told MailOnline. And now Sam fears his legs will be the reason he won't be able to take part in the football game - but insisted he is doing everything he can ahead of his awkward meeting with Louis During an episode of their podcast Staying Relevant's last month, Pete Wicks, 37, teased Sam about the prospect of the potentially awkward encounter between him and Louis. The TOWIE star asked his co-host: 'You're really going through it with the whole f****** body and dieting and training loads. Is that for Soccer Aid?' Sam laughed and assured he's 'loving it' but 'no, it's not' for the game, to which Pete continued: 'Are you sure it's not for Soccer Aid? How are you feeling? You're playing again. Must be really exciting.' He added: 'How do you feel about the line up? Do you think you've got a strong team?' Awkwardly laughing, Sam replied: 'Got a really strong team'. But, not dropping the subject, Pete then asked: 'Any kind of people in there who you're looking forward to playing with?' 'Loads,' Sam laughed: 'Tom Grennan. I'm really looking forward to playing alongside Wayne Rooney, Tyson Fury's the manager. I can't wait'. Pete joked: 'I mean that's gonna be f****** amazing. Make sure you get him on side though because you may need him in your corner in case you fall out with anyone. Not that you will but just in case there's any rivalries or anything. 'You know, you have to train together and it's a lot, you know when you're kind of in close quarters with someone like that. All sorts gets brought up. Anyway...' Sam and Louis will join the likes of Tyson Fury, Jill Scott, Grennan and Paddy McGuinness in the star-studded squad, while Wayne Rooney will step out of retirement as one of the managers. Sam may now have more time to pursue his romance with Samie, who recently opened up about their relationship for the first time. Sam first met Samie, who appeared on Love Island in 2023 and returned to the All Stars series this year, through his presenting role on Aftersun. Samie spoke about the blossoming relationship for the first time during an appearance on the Chloe Mediumship podcast. The show is hosted by a psychic medium and in the episode, the beauty revealed how she's previously had negative gut feelings in past relationships. She explained: 'I've had gut feelings with guys before. I've had a couple of relationships where I've known it was never it. Like this is gonna come to an end, I'll have something telling me every day it's coming to an end, this isn't for you. 'You put it to the back of your mind and then you start noticing the chaos increase. It's like the universe saying I'm gonna blow you both up if you just do not separate. Then I'm like if I only I listened all those months ago when I got that first message.' Then, host Chloe asked: 'Obviously, you don't have to talk about it too much but the guy you're currently speaking to, do you have that gut feeling? Like do you think it's gonna be really good?' Keeping her cards close to her chest, the former Love Islander replied: 'There's been no bad stuff at the minute so yeah I suppose it is all positive right now. It's early days.' Zara and Louis sparked relationship speculation at the start of this year before going public in March, three months after MailOnline revealed Zara and ex-boyfriend Sam had parted ways. Despite his heartache over Zara moving on so quickly, sources close to Sam exclusively told MailOnline at the time he holds no grudges against Louis over the new romance. A source close to the star said: 'Sam has no hard feelings towards Louis, that's for sure. 'As far as he's concerned, Louis is Zara's new man and he's just got to accept it. 'He's a positive guy and will just move on from this, throwing himself into work and getting stuck into the exciting projects he's got coming up. 'Obviously he was sad when their relationship broke up and, like anyone, when your ex moves so quickly it's tough. And if he was both angry and devastated, that would be understandable. 'But he's not sitting around wallowing in self pity, far from it.' Zara and Sam were together for five years before they split at the end of 2024 shortly after the Made In Chelsea favourite worked in Australia for I'm A Celeb spinoff show Unpacked. This year's Soccer Aid for Unicef match airs on the evening of Sunday 15 June on ITV1 and ITVX from Old Trafford, Manchester.

TV Twix advert is BANNED for encouraging dangerous driving - because it shows long-haired driver crashing his caramel-coloured motor on top of another car
An advert for Twix bars showing a long-haired driving crashing his caramel-coloured motor has been banned for 'condon[ing] unsafe driving'. The bizarre ad, released at the end of March, shows sporting a 70s-esque fashion involved in a car chase. But when he takes a sharp turn, he winds up plummeting off the side of the road, overturning the vehicle several times. However when the clip pans back to the vehicle at the foot of the cliff, there are two identical versions of the car sandwiched upon one another - like a Twix. To further add to the intrigue, a Twix bar falls from the sunroof of both cars before they head off into the sunset, the 'two is more than one'. The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) said the ad 'must not appear again' as is, asserting it 'condoned unsafe driving. And while the watchdog noted the stunt took place in a fanciful-type advert, it claimed parts of the video 'appeared likely to breach' the Highway Code. It also highlighted there was an 'emphasis on speed' as well as 'fast paced beat and music' during the chase, with 'visible skid marks left' on the road. Mars-Wrigley, who own Twix, contested their advert was a 'cinematic presentation' set out in an 'absurd, fantastical' world 'removed from reality'. Defending their cinematography further, Mars argued the cars featured were driving as 'lawful speeds' and any simulation would reflect 'legal and safe driving'. The confectionery firm, which also represents Celebrations, Maltesers, said its caramel biscuit bar is renowned for it playful humour, which was further exhibited in the 'fantastical' ad. Clearcast, a non-governmental organisation, which approves adverts defended the sweet giant, adding the video did not imply 'safe driving was boring' or encourage people to drive in an unsafe manner. ASA's final ruling on the matter instructed Mars not to 'condone or encourage irresponsible driving' that was unlikely to break the Highway Code via adverts. A Mars Wrigley UK spokesperson said: 'We always take pride in maintaining high standards across all our communications and every advert we produce is submitted for approval through the appropriate review channels. 'In our view, this particular advert adopts a fantastical tone that is neither realistic nor intended to be imitated. 'Nonetheless, we take our responsibility as an advertiser seriously and never intended to cause any offence or concern, so we are reviewing the ruling carefully in order to work collaboratively towards a resolution.'
