The campaign involved 84 personnel and six vessels from the Marine Department, MMEA, Sabah Ports and Harbours, Marine Police, and Sabah Parks. It aims to enhance public and operator awareness following nine marine accidents in 2024, including a collision involving foreign tourists. Focused on compliance with maritime laws such as the Merchant Shipping Ordinance 1952 and Ports and Harbours regulations, the initiative highlights the state's commitment to safer and more regulated sea travel. * Follow us on our official WhatsApp channel and Telegram for breaking news alerts and key updates! * Do you have access to the Daily Express e-paper and online exclusive news?
