British tourists who died after 'jumping into hotel pool' named as pals pay tribute
The pair had allegedly been drinking and could not swim when the tragedy in Portugal took place.
The two British men who died after reportedly jumping into a swimming pool during a holiday to Portugal have been pictured for the first time.
King Endonmi, 29, and his friend Mo, 27, were discovered at the bottom of a hotel pool in Albufeira, in the Algarve, on Tuesday, July 15. They had only arrived less than 24 hours earlier.
Emergency services raced to the scene at around 4am and attempted to resuscitate them, but both were tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Police say there is no suspicion of foul play.
Both had travelled to the popular holiday spot from the Ipswich area, the Mirror reports. A fundraising page has been set up in memory of them, who "brought light into every room they entered".
A spokesperson for the Portuguese Criminal Investigation Police, the Policia Judiciaria, said the bodies were discovered at around 4.30am.
They added: "We went to the swimming pool and found CSI work there. There is no criminal evidence involved in the deaths of the two British citizens. The cause of deaths will be determined by the national medical cabinet in Portugal."
Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã reported that both men had allegedly been drinking and could not swim. Friends of the pair paid tribute to them, adding: "Their families are now facing every parent's worst nightmare."

The GoFundMe has raised over £14,000 so far, which is to go towards costs of repatriation. A message on the page read: "On what was meant to be a joyful holiday in Portugal, our two dear friends Mo and King tragically lost their lives, less than 24 hours after arriving.
"What was supposed to be sunshine and laughter turned into heartbreak no one could have imagined. They were brothers to many. Gentle, kind-hearted souls who brought light into every room they entered. The kind of people who would drop everything to help you, no questions asked.
"They were warm, loyal, funny and full of dreams. The sort of men you never hear a bad word about because there simply were none. They were deeply devoted to their families, their friends and their faith. And now, all of that has been taken so suddenly and so unfairly."
