The game has a wide variety of potions, which are classified into base, positive, and negative potions. Primarily there are only 30 potions, but players can modify these potions, which unlocks a new total count of 72 potions. Every potion in Minecraft serves a unique purpose, and all of them have different recipes, but the base recipe to craft a potion is almost the same for all. Potion of Healing Effect: Instantly restores health Ingredient: Glistening Melon + Awkward Potion 2. Potion of Regeneration Effect: Gradually restores health Ingredient: Ghast Tear + Awkward Potion 3. Potion of Fire Resistance Effect: Immunity to fire and lava Ingredient: Magma Cream + Awkward Potion 4. Potion of Swiftness Effect: Increased movement speed Ingredient: Sugar + Awkward Potion 5. Potion of Poison Effect: Reduces health to 1 HP over time Ingredient: Spider Eye + Awkward Potion 2. Potion of Harming Effect: Instant damage Ingredient: Fermented Spider Eye + Potion of Healing or Poison 3. Potion of Slowness Effect: Reduces movement speed Ingredient: Fermented Spider Eye + Potion of Swiftness/Leaping 4. Potion of Decay Effect: Causes Wither effect Ingredient: Not craftable in survival (only via commands in Java Edition) Potion Modifiers Through this, the players can modify all the potions. Modifiers change how potions behave. You can apply them to most brewed potions to enhance, extend, or alter their delivery method: Redstone Dust : Using redstone dust generally extends duration. Glowstone Dust : Glowstone increases potency. Gunpowder : It turns potion into Splash Potion (throwable). Dragon's Breath : Players can turn Splash Potion into a Lingering Potion.
