Kanpur: Police in collaboration with revenue officials confiscated unlawful assets valued at approximately Rs 1.5 crore from two criminals under the Gangsters Act in Kabrai Mahoba district. The operation was conducted following directives from SP Prabal Pratap Singh. The confiscated properties, obtained through criminal activities, were seized as part of an ongoing initiative against illicitly acquired assets. The operation was executed under section 14 (1), with Kabrai police station head Satyendra Bhadauria and revenue officials. The authorities identified the property owners as inhabitants of Hamirpur district. The criminal, Anil alias Anni Soni, son of Keshav Soni, from Chaubatta area in Rath town, faces seven registered cases across Hamirpur and Mahoba while Anil Rajput alias Lalla, son of Maiyadin Rajput, from Kurra village under Rath police station, has nine cases registered against him in both districts. Their illegally acquired properties in Kabrai town, Mahoba, were subsequently seized. SP Prabal Pratap Singh affirmed the continuation of stringent measures against criminally acquired properties. The operation generated significant local interest, with residents commending the police's efficiency.

1 2 Kanpur: A temple priest was found murdered with a sharp weapon while he was sleeping on Friday night in Gudha village of Charkhari, Mahoba. Upon receiving the information, superintendent of police Prabal Pratap Singh and additional SP Vandana Singh inspected the scene with the field unit and a forensic team. The SP formed three police teams to solve the (70), a resident of Gudha, was the priest of the Hanuman temple located outside the village. He lived in a room near the temple where he performed worship rituals. On Friday evening, when Summara's son Jeetendra went to the room for some work, he was shocked to find his father's blood-soaked body. The severe head injuries confirmed that it was a soon as the information was received, the SP, additional SP, and Kotwali police arrived at the scene and conducted a thorough inspection. The son stated that they had no disputes with anyone in the village. His father had been living in the room near the temple for four years, performing worship rituals. The news of the priest's murder shocked the people of the village and are demanding the arrest of the elderly man's body was found with head injuries, and at a first glance it appears to be a murder case, said the SP. "The elderly man was living alone while his family resided in a house in the village," the SP further said and added, "The entire incident is being investigated, and three teams have been formed to uncover the case, which will be resolved soon."
