Everyone must join hands to make Bidar a drug-free district, says police officer

Superintendent of Police Pradeep Gunti has called upon citizens to collectively strive towards making Bidar a drug-free district. Addressing a gathering at an event at Karnataka College in Bidar on Tuesday to mark International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Mr. Gunti highlighted the grave consequences of drug abuse on an individual's physical and mental health. 'Those under the influence of drugs often lose awareness of their actions which can lead them to engage in criminal activities such as theft, murder, robbery and sexual assault. I urge the youth to stay away from harmful addictions and instead, focus on building a healthy and meaningful life,' Mr. Gunti said. Stressing the importance of becoming responsible citizens and providing children with quality education so they can aspire to reach respectable positions in society, Mr. Gunti said that the Police Department is always at the service of people.
