Now, pay Rs 10/person for first 2km tour by e-rickshaw
I ndore: The fare structure for e-rickshaws operating in Indore city, specifically those with a seating capacity of 4+1 passengers or more, was officially determined on Friday. The decision was taken following an order issued by Regional Transport Authority (RTA). Under the new fare guidelines, e-rickshaws with a passenger seating capacity of four or more will charge Rs 10 per passenger for the first two kilometre or any part thereof. Subsequently, for every additional kilometre or part of a kilometre, the fare will be Rs 5 per passenger. Regional Transport Authority secretary Pradeep Kumar Sharma has instructed all e-rickshaw operators to adhere strictly to the approved fare rates when collecting charges from passengers. The new rates came into effect immediately. The authority announced the fare system for e-rickshaws as there were demands to fix it to avoid inconvenience to passengers and any disputes with drivers.

10 school vehicles seized, fined Rs70,000 for violations
Indore: The Indore RTO on Tuesday seized vans and autorickshaws carrying school students for overloading and imposed total of Rs 70,000 fine on them. In adherence to directives from collector Asheesh Singh, a team led by Indore RTO Pradeep Kumar Sharma intensified its special checking drive on school vehicles. The checking drive was carried out in Vijay Nagar, Pipliyahana, and Ring Road areas. During inspections, 10 school vehicles, comprising vans and autorickshaws, were found transporting schoolchildren without proper documentation. Also, they were carrying children beyond their permissible capacity. The vehicles were immediately seized. The action was taken against these vehicles under various sections of the Motor Vehicles Act . Fire destroys four shops in medicine market in Kanpur
1 2 Kanpur: A major fire broke out in the medicine market of Pheelkhana area, completely destroying four shops. Responding swiftly, the fire brigade teams arrived and and managed to control the fire. Fortunately, no casualty as watchman inside the market first noticed the smoke and informed the locals. Following the alert, fire tenders arrived at the scene. After about three hours of effort, six fire trucks managed to control the blaze. However, by then four shops were completely damaged resulting in a loss of over Rs 50 lakh. Two other shops were partially 9am on Tuesday, the watchman saw smoke emanating from CP Market on Birhana Road and alerted the locals. The locals then found a major fire in a shop inside the market and alerted the fire department. Immediately, six fire tenders from Latouche Road, Colonelganj, Mirpur, and Fazalganj fire stations reached the site and extinguished the CP Market, where the medicine market is located, is in a very narrow lane having around 40 shops. The fire started at a shop on the ground floor and spread to the first floor. A trader said that there had been many such incidents of fire earlier also due to short circuit caused by disorganised electrical wiring. Fire security officer Pradeep Kumar Sharma said as soon as the control room received the information, fire brigades were fire tenders arrived at the scene. The most challenging part of the rescue effort was dealing with the narrow lanes and wires inside the market, he said. By the time the firefighters arrived, three shops were completely burned. After hours of effort, the fire was brought under control. No casualties were reported.
