Katie Price shows true colours over son Harvey amid confession over dad Dwight Yorke
Katie Price is terrified that her 22-year-old son Harvey is 'on the verge of a heart attack', as she makes heartbreaking admission about phone calls to his dad Dwight Yorke After Katie Price revealed she was worried her son Harvey was on the 'verge of a heart attack', a source claims she's feeling huge pressures as his sole carer. Harvey, 22, who is about to move into a new house close to Katie's Essex home, has a number of health issues including the rare genetic disorder Prader-Willi syndrome which causes behaviour changes, an excessive appetite and overeating, and learning difficulties. Mum-of-five Katie revealed sadly last week that his weight had almost reached 30 stone, telling listeners of The Katie Price Show podcast, 'He's on the verge of heart attack and he won't have a long life if he keeps putting more and more weight on. That's a massive worry for me at the moment.' READ MORE: Jodie Marsh's unrecognisable new look as she forks out £24k a month to run farm Our source claims that, while Katie can be a bit of a divisive character, she shouldn't be underestimated when it comes to coping with the challenges of caring for her eldest son. 'Katie is really worried for Harvey and his weight, it has got to an uncontrollable level and it's scary for the family,' the source claimed. 'They have such a close bond and it's difficult for her to watch, she's trying to keep him as active as she can and support him – she wants him to go on weight loss jabs to manage it. 'There are many things people can say about Katie – maybe the way she courts the press, her surgeries or her bankruptcies, but one thing you can't hold against her is being a good mum to Harvey. She loves him so much, him being OK is a priority for her. 'He doesn't have a real father figure, so it all falls to Katie. It's a heavy burden, making all the decisions and working out what's best for him, but she's desperate to save him and she'd be lost without him.' Katie, who described Harvey in her 2024 autobiography as 'the best thing to have happened to me', also addressed her own mortality, revealing she was making sure that 'everything's in place' for him should the worst happen to her. She and his medical team were planning to start him on NHS-prescribed Mounjaro, she said, explaining it couldn't be a rash decision. 'Harvey doesn't speak like us, the communication, but as he's got older, he's got better,' she shared. 'Because, you want them [carers] to look after them how you would look after them. No one's going to ever look after your son how mum does it. 'Even when I tuck him in bed, it's a mum thing. Of course, there's been challenges but that's not Harvey's fault. Obviously, we're doing something with the doctors but because of his complex needs and medication he's on, things aren't as easy as that. It's always a constant worry – like if I die, what's going to happen?'. Katie was just 23 when she gave birth to Harvey and he has been estranged from his dad, former Manchester United star Dwight Yorke, for much of his life. According to our source, the former model is desperate to find a long-term solution to Harvey's weight issues, but understandably feels the pressure of being the one making all the decisions and would welcome his dad's support. 'People sometimes forget what she's been through with him, it's been traumatic,' they add. 'She was a relatively young girl when she had him, and learning about and managing Harvey's issues was a shock. But she loved him from the second she saw him. She's always done her best by him and genuinely means it when she says the door is open for Dwight.' Former Manchester United player Dwight claimed in 2009 that he wanted to play a role in Harvey's upbringing but 'wasn't given the opportunity'. He said, 'I've gone down the legal route and I was entitled to see him for a certain period of time, but she calls all the shots.' Katie recently made the heartbreaking admission that her door was 'always open' for Dwight to make contact, and claimed that her mum Amy contacts the sportsman's manager every year around Harvey's birthday and at Christmas to ask, 'does he want to speak to or see him?'. She told Rob Moore on his Disruptors Podcast that the response was always 'the same thing back, not interested'. Katie was emotional as she discussed the estrangement but said she hoped for a reconciliation. 'There's got to be a time when Dwight and Harvey are in the same room. Because he would just love Harvey if he saw him, how could he not? He looks like him, for God's sake. Harvey's so funny, so endearing and innocent. How can he not love Harvey? I just can't get my head around it, he'd have so much fun with him.' Katie married her I'm A Celebrity campmate Peter Andre when Harvey was a few years old, and they went on to have Junior and Princess together. There was speculation at the time that Peter, 52, would legally adopt Harvey, but it didn't happen before they split in 2009. Our source claims this is also a part Katie's heartache when it comes to her eldest son. 'It was such a shame and a loss when Katie and Pete split because Pete also genuinely loved Harvey and was always great with him,' they claim. 'There'll be deep sadness on both sides because Pete and Harvey were very close, but because of his relationship with Katie, it's just not possible for them to be how they were. 'I don't think anyone can know how awful it's been for her, and that's partly why she and Harvey have got such a close bond. She's totally tuned into him, she knows from just one look what he needs and wants, but that's a lot for one person to carry.'

Katie Price says 'it broke my heart' as she issues update about son Harvey
Katie Price's son Harvey "broke her heart" when she took him back to college after a two-week break. Harvey, 22, is partially blind, autistic and lives with the rare genetic disorder, Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). He spends his time at a specialist school in the West Country. Katie, 46, disclosed on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, that her eldest son was reluctant to go back to college following their time together. She recounted how Harvey attempted to kick the door of her car as they prepared for the 200-mile trip from her home in Sussex, reports Lancs Live . Speaking on The Katie Price Show podcast, she said: "When I took him back to college, it broke my heart. He just so didn't want to go and I said, 'We have to go back to get your meds Harv'. "As we were getting near it he was going, 'Mum, Harvey so sad, I'm so angry.' And I'm like, 'Why Harv?' Obviously I know why. "'College, I miss mummy. Mummy is the best'. Then I thought I'd have no car left, he was trying to kick the car door backwards." Katie also mentioned that plans are underway for Harvey to move closer to her family in Sussex. She admitted needing "a bit of a break" herself, having cared for Harvey while touring with an adults-only pantomime called Pinocchio. She concluded: "I've had him for two weeks on tour and I need a bit of a break as well. He's worse than having a newborn, he's worse than a toddler, it's full-on. "So when he moves to the new place, I can't wait. It's literally a one-stop train away, he's a 25-minute drive. I'll see him all the time, even if he just comes out with me in the car and that, he doesn't care." Katie is determined to make Harvey's new living space feel "like a home" complete with custom-made furniture. She's convinced this change will provide him with a "new lease of life" and assist in his weight loss journey. Due to Harvey's health condition, he has an uncontrollable hunger, which Katie says has contributed to his weight nearing 30 stone. The well-known reality TV personality has disclosed her plans for Harvey to start on Mounjaro - a medication typically prescribed for type 2 diabetes but also beneficial for weight reduction. On her social media channels, Katie expressed her distress: "I'm so heartbroken and gutted that his weight is just going up. I just googled it in stones, 188kg is just a few kg of being 30 stone. "It's so life-threatening now, I'm still waiting for the doctors to get back to me starting on the Mounjaro and his journey to a healthy life." Besides Harvey, Katie is also the mother to son Junior, 19, and daughter Princess, 17, whom she had with her first husband, singer Peter Andre, as well as son Jett, 11, and daughter Bunny, 10, from her third marriage to Kieran Hayler, which lasted from 2013 to 2021.

Inside Katie Price's crisis health plan for son Harvey following alarming update
As Katie Price issues a heartbreaking update concerning the health woes of her eldest son Harvey, the Mirror takes a look at the worried mum's crisis health plan, following a recent alarming weigh in Mum-of-five Katie Price has long spoken candidly about the challenges of raising a child with complex health concerns. Now she faces another heartbreaking hurdle. The former glamour model's eldest son, Harvey Price, is partially blind, autistic and also lives with the rare genetic disorder, Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS). Symptoms of PWS include learning difficulties, behavioural challenges, muscle weakness, and an insatiable appetite. The 22-year-old has to contend with constantly feeling hungry, and concerned mum Katie fears his rapid weight gain could take a serious toll on his health. Taking to Snapchat following a recent worrying weigh-in, Katie, 46, revealed that Harvey is now nearly 30 stone, and is at risk of a heart attack. The OnlyFans creator now hopes that Mounjaro jabs could be Harvey's ticket to a healthier, happier life. She shared: 'I'm so heartbroken and gutted that his weight is just going up. I just googled it in stones, 188kg is just a few kg off being 30 stone. It's so life-threatening now, I'm still waiting for the doctors to get back to me starting on the mounjaro and his journey to a healthy life.' Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide - a medicine that helps to lower blood sugar. It is primarily used to treat type 2 diabetes, but since December 2024, it has also been approved for treating obesity on the NHS. This drug is currently available within specialist weight management services across England and will be rolled out via GPS for some eligible patients starting in June 2025. Opening up about some of the additional day-to-day struggles Harvey currently has to deal with, Katie explained: 'It's so sad his quality of life at the moment is where he's so big, he just can't really do much. It's just another thing I have to deal with because he's at high risk of having a heart attack, he struggles to put on his trainers or struggles to walk anywhere, but I love him and I'm going to help him through this." She continued: 'So sad, obesity and his condition is sad, it's sad to see someone go through it, and he doesn't understand.' Get Katie Price updates straight to your WhatsApp! Back in February, Katie told fans that she had decided to pursue weight loss jabs in a bid to get Harvey's weight under control. She told The Sun: 'The good thing about starting him on the drug is, if it has any effect, you can stop it because you do it weekly. 'We've tried food, he's had dietitians, it's just the way he is. And he's on a lot of medication, which the drug won't affect. They want to try him on it for at least one or two years, which is a long time, but they'll control what level he needs, then up it as they assess it.' CEO of Prader-Willi Syndrome Association UK, Jackie Lodge, told the Mirror: "PWS is a rare genetic condition causing an overwhelming and uncontrollable drive to eat that can be life-limiting, as well as learning and physical disabilities. We know that some adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome have been prescribed weight loss medications under close medical supervision, often for diabetes and on an individual basis. "There is currently no clinical evidence confirming the effectiveness for weight loss for individuals with PWS. These weight loss medications may pose serious health risks for people with PWS due to potential adverse side effects, and treatment would always require close medical supervision. "These medications are becoming increasingly available and should never be purchased online for people with PWS. The Prader Willi Syndrome Association UK (PWSA UK) can provide advice and information about supporting someone with PWS, including managing diet and clinics for people with PWS."
