Italy wing Granzotto to make Exeter move
Italy winger Francesca Granzotto will join Premiership Women's Rugby side Exeter after the World 23-year-old, who can also play at scrum-half and full-back, has won 19 Italy has most recently been playing for Rome-based side Unione Rugby Capitolina and has also played for English side Hove while studying in Worthing."Francesca is a great person and a player who is looking to develop her skills even further in the PWR," Exeter's interim head coach Steve Salvin said."Her versatility in the backs will give us options on a match-day. She is a very welcome addition to the squad."

Wales forward Pyrs makes Gloucester switch
English champions Gloucester-Hartpury have signed Wales forward Alaw Pyrs for the forthcoming Premiership Women's Rugby 19-year-old lock made her Wales debut last September and featured in this year's Six previously played for Gwalia Lightning in the Celtic Challenge as well as Hartpury University in the British universities championship."To be an international whilst still a teenager is a remarkable achievement, and shows the potential that Alaw clearly has," Gloucester's head of rugby Dan Murphy said."She's a physical player and has impressed with Wales, Hartpury and Gwalia Lightning, so we're delighted that she's put pen to paper here."She'll learn so much from the experienced forwards we have here and get better and better, and that's what really excites us."

Ireland hooker Moloney signs new Exeter contract
Exeter's Ireland hooker Cliodhna Moloney has extended her contract for the 2025-26 Premiership Women's Rugby season. The 31-year-old moved to Sandy Park in 2022 after Wasps' women's side disbanded and has gone on to score 24 tries for the Devon was recalled to the Ireland squad this year and played in all five of their Six Nations games this season. The announcement comes a day after her wife - England winger Claudia MacDonald - also signed a new deal with the Chiefs. "Cli has been a crucial part of our squad over the last three years," interim head coach Steve Salvin said."She brings so much experience and rugby nous to every game she plays in. "We look forward to her returning to Sandy Park post-World Cup and continuing her career with us."
