WWE: Is Bron Breakker's association with Seth Rollins benefiting him? Veteran analyst weighs in
Bron Breakker, one of WWE's most promising young prospects, shocked the world on the Raw after WrestleMania 41 this April when turned heel and joined hands with Seth Rollins. He assaulted Roman Reigns and CM Punk on the fateful night and sent a message to the locker room. The development created a buzz but some observers felt that it would transform him into Rollins' 'lackey'. Now, months later, a veteran journalist has weighed in on the impact of his heel turn and revealed if it's benefited him.
Dave Meltzer feels Bron Breakker's association with Seth Rollins has benefitted him
Dave Meltzer is a popular name in the pro-wrestling world. The seasoned journalist is best known for his sharp observations and deep knowledge of the industry. He is also the founder and editor of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which he founded in 1982. In an interaction with Indiatimes, Meltzer said that Bron Breakker's heel turn has benefited him. He added that it will most probably open the door for a feud between 'The Badass' and Seth Rollins.
'I think it helps Breakker a lot being associated with Rollins, since the obvious split will make him a big player. It also strengthens the heel unit,' he added.
Breaker, who is WCW legend Rick Steiner's son, was an integral part of the midcard division before joining Seth Rollins' group. He held the Intercontinental title on two occasions and also had memorable feuds with The Judgement Day and Sami Zayn.
Breaker was propelled into the main-event scene shortly after he joined Rollins' group, which is now called The Vision. The young Steiner recently teamed up with Bronson Reed, who joined the group at Saturday Night's Main Event, to take on Roman Reigns and Jey Uso at SummerSlam.
The fast-rising star was quite impressive during the encounter even though the team lost. He is expected to eventually square off against Reigns in a singles match. However, that may happen only during one of the 'big four' Premium Live Events.
Will The Vision split soon?
The Vision is now stronger than ever before as Seth Rollins captured the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam by cashing in on his Money in the Bank contract on CM Punk after his match against Gunther. Given this, a split is unlikely at this point. However, WWE did some time ago potentially plant the seed for the same when Bron Breakker declared himself as the leader of the group in Seth Rollins' absence.
As such, it is just a matter of 'when', not 'if' the creative goes in this direction.
