Arizona State football headlines Big 12 preseason team with 5 selections
The Big 12 has eliminated its preseason media poll for the conference but will continue to make preseason all-conference football selections.
Arizona State is well represented in those selections.
The Sun Devils, the defending Big 12 champions, had five players on the 2025 Preseason All-Big 12 Football Team, the most in the conference.

The team is voted on by media members who cover the conference, and ASU football's Sam Leavitt was selected as the league's Preseason Offensive Player of the Year as well as the quarterback for the conference team. WR Jordyn Tyson, OL Ben Coleman, DL C.J. Fite and DB Xavion Alford joined Leavitt as selections.
Texas Tech's Jacob Rodriguez was named the Big 12's Preseason Defensive Player of the Year, while Utah quarterback Devon Dampier was selected as the Newcomer of the Year.
