Casting News: Brilliant Minds Adds 2, LEGO Masters Jr. Names Host and More
At least a couple of new faces will roam the halls of Bronx General this fall. NBC's Zachary Quinto-led Brilliant Minds has added two series regulars for Season 2, which will once again air Monday nights at 10/9c. Love is in the air — and on the grid! You star Tom Francis and Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin star Maia Reficco have gone public with their romance, and fans are losing it. The couple made their first public outing as a couple at a Met Gala afterparty on Monday, May 5, and just five days later, the couple confirmed the romance on Instagram. Francis, 25, stepped onto the platform on Saturday, May 10, to post a warm photo carousel with intimate shots of himself and Reficco, 24. Captioned simply, "m'lady," the post featured the couple's obvious chemistry — and quickly garnered love in the comments. "Beautiful couple!" one fan exclaimed, while another added, "U guys r so cute tho." And based on the photos, it's easy to understand why. The photos, taken by celebrity photographer Emilio Madrid at the trendy afterparty held at NYC's People's club and art salon, provided a glimpse of their new romance. Chandler Kinney Joins Prime Video's ‘Legally Blonde' Prequel Series ‘Elle'
Elle, the prequel series based on the Legally Blonde film franchise, continues to fill out its cast, adding Chandler Kinney as a series regular. Deadline reports that Kinney, Gabrielle Policano and Jacob Moskovitz have been cast as series regulars for the upcoming Prime Video series. They join series lead Lexi Minetree and other previously announced cast members June Diane Raphael and Tom Everett Scott, who play Elle's parents. Kinney will play Kimberly, described as a 'sharp-tongued senior who is not a fan' of Elle, while Moskovitz plays Miles, the star athlete of the school who is enamored by Elle. Policano's character Liz is described as 'the anti-Elle Woods.' Per the logline, Elle 'follows Elle Woods in high school as we learn about the life experiences that shaped her into the iconic young woman we came to know and love in the first Legally Blonde film.' Minetree was found through a nationwide open casting call for the role. Series creator Laura Kittrell is the co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Caroline Dries. Original star Reese Witherspoon, as well as Lauren Neustadter, Lauren Kisilevsky and Marc Platt also executive produce. Kinney starred in the two seasons of Max's Pretty Little Liars reboot/sequel series, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin and Pretty Little Liars: Summer School. She also starred in Fox's Lethal Weapon, as well as Disney Channel's Zombies film series.
