Inside Sinead O'Connor's stunning seafront home as it sells for pretty penny
Sinéad O'Connor's seafront home in Co Wicklow is officially off the market — selling for nearly €1.3million.
The Nothing Compares 2 U singer, one of the country's most prolific voices, passed away in 2023 from natural causes, with her home previously being on the market in 2021 for €950,000.
After being sold in 2021, planning permission was sought to turn the home into luxury apartments — which was then rejected — with the home returning to the market back in December for €1.295million. According to the Price Property Index, the home has since sold for its asking price — selling for the €1.295million it was advertised for back on July 16.
Sinéad bought the home during the boom for €1.7million, with the property boasting an impressive six bedrooms, three bathrooms, a front forecourt and beautiful views of Bray's esplanade. The home was bought by the Nothing Compares 2 U singer in 2007, before being sold in 2019 for over €1million. The home's interior features a stunning mural in the master bedroom, while the home also retained most of its Victorian features, albeit with a few minor changes.
The home was also incredibly colourful throughout, consisting of a pink porch and purple walls in the hallway that leads into the generously sized living/dining room, which boasted a dual aspect fireplace. The family room and kitchen adjoin the breakfast room. Pic: Daft
The sale of Sinéad's former home comes as a biopic on the singer has been confirmed as being in the works, with it being reported that the film will take a look at Sinéad's early life and career.

In 2022, they executive-produced Sinéad's critically acclaimed documentary 'Nothing Compares', working alongside the musician in the process.
The biopic is also being co-produced by fellow Irish banner Nine Daughters, whose previous works include 2022 Paul Mescal film 'God's Creatures' and 2016's 'Lady Macbeth', starring Florence Pugh. A biopic of Sinéad is in the works, it has been confirmed. Pic: Lindsey Best for the Washington Post
